## Description

Victorinox Skipper Blue Pocket Knife Beautiful, stress-free, ready-for-anything days on the water require a beautiful, stress-free, ready-for-anything tool. Which is why we've developed the compact Skipper Pro tool as a piece that provides the capabilities of a full ship's crew in the palm of your hand. This comes packed with typical Victorinox functionality, combining a lock blade with a sailing-specific tool essential for any nautical adventure: a robust, lockable marlin spike. We've given our model a bright orange lanyard, making it visible even in stormy weather, and ensured it has everything you need to tackle knotty problems and stubborn shackles.

Review: Capable Beauty - The Victorinox Skipper is a work of art that happens to also be a valuable tool for many occasions. It looks gorgeous enough to keep in a glass case, but belongs in a tool box, tackle box, ship's store, or on your EDC list. At just about 4.4 inches long, about 1 inch thick, and about 1.25 inches tall, and weighing in at 6.5 ounces, this is not a small knife, and is a bit big for a pocket carry, in my opinion. Therefore, I wanted a belt pouch. Most everyone, including a Seller, says there is no leather pouch available, and many reviewers agree However, I did find one guy on a forum who had tried the leather pouch for the Swiss Tool, so I tried it and it works perfectly. It is Victorinox Swiss Tool Leather Pouch part number 33246 or 4.0523.3 and cost $13.50 This really slims down the carry, looks sharp, and with care will last the life of the tool. Please see photos. I also bought the Eyeglass screwdriver part number 30411 or A.3643 for a buck or so, and it fits right into the corkscrew. There is no such thing as "best knife" as we all have different lifestyles, uses for tools, and preferences. For me, I wanted a locking serrated main blade and marlin spike for rope work, and I also wanted a set of pliers for fishing. What I did not know, was how many uses there are for the shackle opener - just check out a few of the videos to see this knife serve many daily uses, as well as solve some oddities in a creative and capable way. But, the best tool on the Skipper is the blade - wow does that thing cut. Right out of the box it is a razor. The lock clicks home nicely, with a touch of play vertically and none horizontally. The slide lock is a bit odd, and I am not sure how it works in there, but it is effective. This is not a tactical knife for fighting bad guys, it is a tool for getting the job done, and looking great while doing it.
Review: Picture is wrong - The knife in the picture is not the actual knife they send. The knife in the picture has many more features. Cork Screw, Phillips, Pliers, Shackle Key This knife has none of those.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Swiss Army Knife
*by A***L on June 25, 2015*

Everyone should carry a Swiss Army Knife, and if you have to choose just one, this is it. PROs: ===== - insanely sharp locking serrated main blade - built-in pliers have helped me in so many situations I can not count them anymore - good balance between size and function - rugged and sturdy - very strong CONs ===== - can not sharpen serrated main blade - does not have a saw - Phillips screwdriver not very useful I carry a Swiss Army Knife (SAK) everywhere I go. Anyone who carries one knows why. Over the years, I have tried many different brands and styles, but I have settled on this one as my all-time favorite SAK model. The main blade is so freaking sharp that you must use extra caution with it. A simple slip will cut you right to the bone with minimal effort. Be very careful with this blade. The main blade is so sharp that it locks open to prevent fold-over injuries. This is the only SAK model that has the serrated main blade together with the other assortment of tools. Some knives try too hard, and end up becoming unwieldy. They are too large and awkward to use on a daily basis. This knife strikes the perfect balance between form factor and usefulness. It fits nicely in my pocket on my detachable key chain, yet has all the tools I need for day-to-day requirements. To my surprise, I have found myself using the pliers in all sorts of circumstances, from fixing a pair of skates to removing large splinters to tightening bolts. I have winced a few times as I wrenched the pliers well beyond what I thought the breaking point must be, but so far the knife has never failed. The quality and durability of this SAK are outstanding. I rarely use the shackle opener (it is useful for loosening impossibly tight knots in ropes), and I would gladly trade it for a saw, but there is no such configuration of a SAK,. In a pinch, I have used other SAKs to cut lumber to size using a saw, and I have cut trees down with a SAK saw. It is the only tool I pine for in this SAK model. My only complaint with the tools in this SAK is the Phillips screwdriver. It is not that useful - it does not firmly grip most Phillip screw heads. I prefer to use the tip of can opener for most Phillips screws - I can usually securely grip one of the two cross grooves. This is the best overall combination of tools in a Swiss Army Knife, yet there is still room for improvement.
