These are not SK USA tools! It should be more prominent in the description
When you buy tools with a historic name brand attached you have an expectation of quality. These are nice enough sockets but it's clear they are not SK USA high-end tools. They are in line with the other China manufactured brands, probably decent enough for most peoples garages for years. Most of us are not professional mechanics but we can still appreciate quality. I do feel a little bit deceived by the branding.

Interesting these aren’t USA made
You should know that SK sold out to China, I just want people to know these are Chinese made. It didn’t specify, and this is a limited volume seller. It appeared to be a USA made version which is why i market it down.

Decent Chinese Sockets
If it doesn't specifically say Made in U.S.A. these days, I guess I have to assume it's not a USA made item. SK used to be an American company but now they lend their name out to Chinese manufacturers. The sockets themselves are pretty solid, but there are casting defects apparent inside the socket. The holders are very, very nice and will likely outlive the sockets if you use sockets heavily in the shop. For most people, these would be fine, but I do expect to break a couple in my life from this set because they aren't particularly good steel (or at least, don't seem to be from the casting defects I can see).Regardless I do think these are a solid and attractive set of sockets for the price, and expect to get a fair amount of use out of them. Honestly these are worth it just for the nice socket rail.Overall these are good quality Chinese sockets, and an okay value for the price.

great value from a premium brand
The machining on these is really nice, the finish is polished with no blemishes on the sockets. Not that that really affects performance, but it's a good sign of quality. It is surprising to see SK , a premium tool brand, making a no skip deep socket set anywhere near this price point.Note these are not SK USA sockets, but honestly if you were expecting that at this price, it's not happening, the US made ones cost nearly 3x the price. Those are probably worth it if you are a professional mechanic or will use them daily. I am a shade tree mechanic mostly just working on my own stuff, so for my needs even these are overkill. The socket rail it included is likewise really nicely finished. They have the recessed points so are less likely to round off bolts. For the price These are a great value, and unlike some of the cheaper stuff out there these have a Lifetime warranty backed by SK tools. That has quite a bit of value. I have only ever had to warranty one SK tool and it was one of the least painful warranty experiences out there. They really stood by their product, will report back if that changes or I have any issues, but so far for my limited needs
