Why isn’t this standard? A cracking USB-C adapter
Honestly, this USB-C adapter has been an absolute game-changer for my Ring camera. It plugs in effortlessly, powers up instantly and has performed flawlessly day in, day out. I can’t fathom why manufacturers don’t ship these cameras with a USB-C port as standard – it’s so much more convenient and spares you hunting for extra power points.If you’re fed up of juggling bulky power bricks or scraping around for spare sockets, do yourself a favour and pick one of these up. It really is simplicity at its best.

Works perfectly
The socket has enough room for another adapter to fit inside, so I’ve used this to power a ring outdoor camera from a micro usb ‘D’ shaped power cable that was very difficult to replace because of how it was installed before my walls were rendered.

There seems to be several very similar variants of the barrel plug on Ring Cameras. Not fully convinced that this will mate with indoor/outdoor stickup camera.I think Ring are in danger of confusing customers and themselves with incompatibilities. To be fair such problems are typical of companies working near to the leading edge.
