I am Impressed
These are full length SNORKEL fins that are lightweight and provide good thrust. They are mainly plastic with a rubber pocket. The foot pocket is very supple and comfortable made to be worn barefoot or with dive/water socks. They fit well with no pressure points or slop that can cause chafing. I am a men’s 11 and ware water socks. The L/XL fit perfect. I always use water socks anyway. I suggest to always use water socks for all water activities. The cheap ones work fine and will last if you use them only at the beach, in the water, or snorkeling. Some folks have mentioned issues with Cressi straps coming loose or breaking, make sure the adjuster mounts are locked in place and do not pull them too tight. I would be hard pressed to find a better lightweight full length fin for the price.

Great Value, Great Workout Aid
I bought these Cressi fins after having multiple pairs of US Divers and Head Volo fins over 10 years. I use them several times each week for swimming in open water April through October, and in a cool-water pool for lap swimming November through March. The Cressi fins have outlasted all the others through heavy use including half of the year in chlorinated pool water (although I do rinse them well in tap water after each use). I use fins to improve my speed after having torn both shoulders' rotator cuffs, and also to maximize the cardio benefit of swimming for 30-60 minutes nonstop. These are quite a bit longer than most pool fins, which give my a really good strength workout as a way to keep in shape especially during the winter. I belong to a fitness club but generally dislike working out indoors. I was an avid runner until my late 50's when I had total joint replacements in both knees. Now in my 70's I like to alternate between swimming and outdoor bike riding even when the weather here in Massachusetts gets rather nippy. My shoe size is 12-4E to 6E, because of severe orthopedic problems in both feet (bilateral hallux valgus and contraction deformities of toes 2-5), so other fins have caused blisters and abrasions. The Cressi L/XL has an adequate toe box even for me. I recommend taking extra time to adjust the strap and toggle the fin back and forth after each time you tighten to ensure the fin is properly seated before you begin your swim. I also replaced the foot strap with some extras I’d previously purchased for my US Divers fins, which fit just fine and are 100% rubber. There was nothing wrong with the plastic straps that came with the Cressi, which I’m saving as a back-up when the rubber breaks and which it always seems eventually to do. I'm very pleased with these Cressi fins. They cost a little bit more than the other brands I've had but have outlasted them by more than six months and yield a better workout and water speed. I would definitely buy these again.

BEWARE: degraded rubber and broken straps on multiple deliveries
Received the fins and opened the package to find one of the straps was broken in multiple spots. Ordered a replacement and the second pair arrived with a broken strap also! Rubber is degraded with more cracks visible along the length.

Fast fin on the surface
Overall a great fin for snorkeling and surface water activity, very fast and efficient without causing fatigue. The footbed is comfortable without a sock. I have not used for SCUBA so I cannot say if it is powerful enough when geared up. My only issue is the strap slips through the buckle sometimes, I am hoping the company sends new buckles to remedy this. This fin is great for body surfing, boogie boarding and snorkeling.

30+ hours of hard use, great product.
Bought these last-minute for a three week trip to the Costa Brava, Spain They were just the right size to be able to squeeze into my carry-on. Used for a total of at least 30+ hours in the water, for snorkelling and spearfishing all along the coast. I definitely wasn't expecting much out of a $30 pair of fins but these performed exceptionally well. While tight on my feet (size 13 shoe) the material was supple enough to conform to my wide forefoot/narrow heel, and stayed put for hours at a time while also being very comfortable (no blisters). For those with larger feet, it helps to grab the fins by the harder plastic on the side of the boot and just twist the boot side to side while pulling onto the foot (same to remove). These fins stayed tight and did not come loose once (on a powerful swimmer). There is a little tab that locks onto the grooves on the strap, it's important that the tab is pushed in otherwise the strap will come loose (possibly the source of complaints about straps not staying tight). Overall very pleasant experience with these fins, recommend them highly.

works as advertised, can use with booties
These do the job perfectly for snorkeling. My foot size is Men's US9 so I bought the large ones in order to use size small booties with it. It worked, but it's a tad bit snug. The straps are pretty sturdy, however the buckles are all plastic--including the attachment to the fin, so i don't have a lot of confidence in them lasting --although i've used them on 10 outings so far without a problem. Some reviews complain about the buckle allowing the strap to come loose during use, but I've not had that problem. Also, the large ones fit well enough without booties on a US9 foot as well (with the straps totally tightened down the the max). PS. if not using booties, at least use some socks, that goes for any fins in general. (any normal nylon socks will do) I know it seems weird at first, but you'll thank me later -- it eliminates all chafing.

Nice
Use them to power my float tube for fishing. They provide alot of thrust and actually get me moving pretty fast if i want to. They maneuver the tube way better than the fins made for them.
