Review: Leaks from the base of the kettle itself - Despite it being heavy, I loved the look of this ceramic kettle. I bought it in May and it was fine at first but lately the kettle is leaking badly. This is not due to over filling. It means that once boiled boiling hot water leaks out of the bottom of the actual kettle making the base it sits on (the part you plug into the electricity point) very wet, which, as electricity is involved seems pretty dangerous. As boiling water is dripping from the bottom of the kettle it’s double dangerous. I suspect this is a design flaw in the attachment of the plastic kettle bottom to the ceramic body of the kettle. I’ve emailed the company. No reply yet.
