Review: Best headphones for gaming - This headphone is amazing! At first, I was hesitant to purchase it because of its price. However, my aunt advised me to sell my kidneys if I wanted them. I ended up selling both kidneys, as one wasn't enough. I have never regretted my decision. The sound quality is so balanced that it's unmatched. Whether I'm playing games, watching movies, or listening to music, this headphone delivers the best sound quality in every situation. Unfortunately, there is one downside—Aunt is no longer with us. :-(

## Features

- Superior Quiet - Zulu 3 delivers advanced active noise reduction (ANR) performance over a deep, broad range of low-frequency noise. The magnesium ear cups are superior at blocking out high-frequency noise.
- Low Profile Comfort - Weighing just 14.6 ounces (including ear seals and mic boom), Zulu 3 has a low-profile, stainless-steel headband that follows the curve of the head for more comfortable distribution of weight and side pressure.
- Durability and Longevity – Made almost entirely of stainless steel and magnesium — with durable cables built around a Kevlar core — Zulu 3 is designed to endure the harshest flying environments and last for years to come.
- ComPriority – Never miss important radio communications with patented ComPriority, which automatically lowers the volume of any auxiliary device during radio or intercom transmissions. The soft mute feature gently eases music back in for a smooth listening transition.
- FlightLink – Capture incoming and outgoing communications with Lightspeed’s free FlightLink recording app for Apple iPad and iPhone via the supplied patch cable. This app is exclusively available on Lightspeed headsets.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Could these be used for other applications like motorcycling, coach travel on airlines, listening to music, etc?**
A: 1) why in the name of God would you want to use a $900 aviation headset with boom mic while sitting in the coach section of an airliner? That’d be like using a NASA space suit to go snorkeling in your home swimming pool.
2) Aviation aircraft headsets use two standard aviation connectors (one is larger diameter than the other) that are no where close to the single jack typically used in the applications you are talking about. That being said I would not be surprised if there were adapters out there somewhere.

**Q: How well do these work in open cockpits?**
A: Hi, You can contact Lightspeed and they will send you a leather mic cover that will cut down on the feedback and assist with transmit performance. 800.332.2421

**Q: Does it come with a case?**
A: Yes it does come with a case. It is a formed rigid style case that offers good protection for storage of the headset. Personally I would like to see a place in or on the case for storage of a logbook, other than that it is a nice case.

**Q: What is the warranty?**
A: LIGHTSPEED offers a 7-year warranty on the Zulu 3.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing headset
*by J***E on 18 January 2025*

So far I’m only 2 flights in with it, but wow!! So far it checks all the boxes! I didn't want o spend $1400 for Bose A30s, or $1200 for the Lightspeed deltas. II’ve read reviews Bose is not supporting the A20s anymore so this seemed like a great option. Honestly I couldn't be happier! The noise canceling is amazing, headset is nice and loud, Kevlar wrapped cord seems great, and overall build quality feels nice and solid. Only worry I have is seems the ANR control box seems a little flimsy. Overall I’m super happy with this purchase and after using the loaners from my flight school this is a serious upgrade!
