IT WILL BE PURPLE AT FIRST
First time doing it, went on good cooked it and it was super purple. Thought it was a waste. found out it just needed clear coat. Then it changed to the deep red. I’ll know next time to read the instructions

Reviewing: PRISMATIC POWDERS® Illusion Gold Prize (1 LB/PMS-11514) I don't know what the deal is with this powder, but it is NOT gold. It's not even tinted yellow. It goes on as a matte gold/brown, but as it bakes it changes to a chrome-silver. This comes as a surprise to me because I've used a lot of Prismatic Powders' products, and rarely have I had any issues. This, however, is a complete waste of time and money. I do not appreciate paying good money for a product only to discover that I'm being used as a product tester without my consent. As you can see from the pictures, the only gold in either shot is the unbaked over-spray on the bench. My best guess is that someone decided to market a color without ever testing it. They assumed that mixing gold and chrome powders would yield a bright gold. I've actually tested the use of both colors (from various manufacturers) individually and together, and I found that whether the powders are pre-mixed or are layered gold over chrome and then baked makes no difference: the gold (I can only assume) moves to the metal surface, as the chrome is the only color that shows up. The only way I've found to get a brilliant gold color is to spray and bake a chrome powder, and (after the parts are cooled to room temp) spray a translucent gold. Even so, it's a very finicky process and is very difficult to get a uniform gold color on a part that way.

As advertised Absolutely Stunning color
Looks absolutely amazing good powder but like a lot of other people I didn’t read the description to get it this beautiful red color you have to clearcoat it after that turns out great. I just saw a lot of bad reviews and I wanted to leave this review as well because it is a great product.
