Any overheating issues?

I got this as a cheap way to air up after off-roading adventures. It will take all four 32" tires from 18-32psi without overheating as long as I shut it off for a couple of minutes between tires. On a 90 degree day in Colorado I had it crap out on me when I had finished 3 tires and the 4th was only at 30psi. If I try and run it continuously and move between tires it will overheat after 2 tires. It's cheap, there are always trade–offs with cheap.

is there a box? other sellers but not amazon shows a storage box

My Slime 40026 2K pump came in a hard cardboard box only and not some kind of hard plastic case or box. The cardboard is fine with me as it serves its purpose in containing all the accessories.

Can you set desired psi or does the gauge need to be watched?

You have to watch the gauge, however, be aware that it is slow and will only run for 10 to 15 min before it shuts down on overheat(normal). I have six tires on my boat trailer at 80 psi the unit is useless for me. Bought a nitrogen tank at 2000 psi. tops off my tires in no time. Wish I could sell you mine. Only used twice

Does the 'Slime' seal tire punctures as you inflate?

The compressor itself does not seal punctures. You would first have to remove your valve core, then inject the slime fluid into your tire. Then as you use the compressor to inflate the tire, the Slime fluid will seal the puncture.
