It works on an angle but we weren’t able to make it work horizontally

When the support pole is in the closed state, its length is 54 inches. When fully extended, it can reach a maximum of 114 inches.

How much adjustment does the handle provide?

Once you get the stands in place, the handle increases the height in very small increments. It’s not at all like a ratchet, instead it’s like a slide. If you need another little bit of height, you just squeeze the handle a little. Works great for raising a cabinet up “a skosh “ so that it’s exactly the same height as the adjoining cabinet it’ll be screwed into.
