I’ve had one of these on my 2002 Jeep TJ for over a year now and it has never failed. Just bought another one for my Jeep JL. Using a snatch block and anchoring my TJ to a large tree, I was able to roll a full size truck back onto its wheels that had flipped over and the winch never got hot.

I’ve been quite pleased with it. I’ve used it to pull a light pole across my yard that had been sitting for years. My jeep isn’t heavy enough to bog it down. It’s more of f a tool for me than a recovery winch. The remote has been working well and works every time I need it to. I keep a cover on it to protect it from water and sun. Can’t complain at all about it. If I had to do it all over again, I would get a more water tight version. About once a year hft will have their good one for just a few dollars more than this one. That’s what I should have done. Waited. I actually am happy with this winch and will keep it and use it around the house like I have been. Just keeping it covered.

This is an early review which will be updated as I use this winch more. I recently bought a two-place advantage bumper pull car trailer for retrieving project cars I find on my travels. Pictured is a 1970 XKE Jaguar that has been sitting for about 23 years. One tire was flat and one disc brake was not releasing all the way and dragging pretty good. This winch made short work of getting it on the trailer. It did labor a bit as the car started to walk up the ramps but it didn't concern me at any point that it couldn't finish the job. That aside, it has a quality feel, the remote works flawlessly and it works and fits very well with the optional 2 inch receiver cradle. I do think the hook could be a bit bigger as far as the opening but that is largely my only complaint.

Straight forward install. Like the combo wired/wireless remote.

I installed the winch over a week ago. First thought it looked great and the install wasnt too hard at all. I double checked everything was wired according to the diagram and watched the XBULL youtube videos to make sure it was installed correctly which it was. I first tested the winch with the wireless remote and everything worked great. When I installed the cord for the "Wired remote" control, The remote instantly began smoking and got super hot. I removed the cord immediately and everything still works wirelessly. When plugged in however the remote will instantly start smoking. I called and emailed XBULL directly as suggested in the manual to correct this issue about two dozen times over the past week and no one has answered or replied to my effort to reach out. Everything is installed 100% according to the diagram. I NEED THE WIRED REMOTE REPLACED but no one ever answers the phone and the mailbox is full. Terrible customer service!
