Brilliant
WOW! Done it yet again. I was lucky enough to have been given an ARC of this by the author. Lark is wonderful as ever and fast becoming a favourite heroine of mine. She is every bit as powerful and compelling as Rylee, yet totally different and I am loving watching these two characters' worlds slowly collide. Don't for one minute think that Lark is overshadowed by Rylee as she is most definitely not. It is a wonderful thing watching Lark evolve and boy did she! She learnt a lot about herself and those around her in this instalment.I spent a lot of this book biting my nails on the edge of my seat, it was truly gripping. Lark is plunged into the pit, literally kicking and screaming. What she learns there is terrifying and she comes up against her biggest battles yet but actually what stays with is her absolute humanity and loyalty and the depth of the relationships she has gained. For those wanting to see more of Ash he doesn't have a lot of page time but we do get to see much more of Cactus, which I really enjoyed and Peta, wow I loved that cat so much. She and Lark developed into an amazing team.We learn that life in the pit is not all it seems and strange things are going on, and Lark needs both her elemental sides to survive this time. Fiametta is a truly awesome queen and I found myself changing my mind about her throughout the whole book! The family that Lark gets to spend a lot of her time with are truly wonderful and I found myself with a tear in my eye a few times. The firewyrms were particularly awesome and I would love to see them again, the descriptions were so vivid I could practically see them in front of my eyes. All in all whilst Lark encounters another elemental family and much is discovered about this completely fascinating and original elemental world, many more questions are raised (no cliffhanger though) and I cannot wait to get on with the next instalment, what a delight that is to look forward to! I could stay for weeks in this world and be enthralled. A first class, well written and totally captivating book, go read it and everything else in this series if you haven't done so!

By far the best
It has taken me until now to get into to these books. I didn'tthink they were a patch on Rylee A. However, they have growing me and this was full of action and intrigue. Also, the other characters are developing, including the wonderful Peta.

Firestorm
In this 3rd book Larkspur must clear Ash and save a species. Also in this book we learn that there is another enemy to contend with.Lark is one of my favourite characters and now that Peta has become her familiar it just proves that she is a very strong elemental. I just love this series and after reading the latest it always leaves me wanting the next book to be released immediately.Reading this series is a pleasure and I'm looking forward to learning where Larkspur will travel to next.

As suspected... addictive
In my review for Recurve I predicted this series would be addictive. As I’ve read 3 books in 3 days, I can confirm that prediction was correct. The more you discover about Lark, the more the tale reels you in. The world building is in enough depth to paint the picture, but not too much as to begin to bore. Twists and turns keep you guessing throughout this story. Now on to the next one 😁

Fast paced goodness!
As the story of Lark continues, I have zero hindrance to my ability to suspend disbelief. Credible storyline s beautifully told and leaves me hungry for the next installment. Thank goodness I have bought the whole series!

Best Larkspur novel yet.
The best Larkspur novel yet. It had me gripped from start to finish and it was very difficult to put down when everyday things got in the way. Can't wait for the next one. Shannon Meyer has definitely struck a cord with me. I won't go into the details of the plot as other reviewers have done that but I would say if you buy this book you will not be disappointed.
