I cannot believe how this heats up to the highest level in seconds. I cooked 5 hot dogs in minutes...thoroughly! I bought the infrared. I just got it yesterday, used it today for the 1st time, so I don't know about withstanding the test of time. So easy to use.and easy to clean. It's pretty lightweight, so I don't expect it to take much wear and tear Lots of plastic. I have a beautiful cook top range, with 5 burners and two of the burners switch to two different sizes each. It looks especially nice when it's clean and shiny. I got tired of cleaning the whole top when I used only one pan So I saw this appliance and thought, why not try this and use it for those "one pan" times, so that all I have to clean is one little burner. OMG what a great idea. It's very modern and sleek looking too, so it looks good sitting right out on top of my existing range. I'm going to try to use it every day for about 2 weeks and see if I think it will last. If I like it we'll enough, I may buy the 2 burner one. Today I love it and am very happy with my purchase. I am Very Glad I opted for the infrared one. I think that might be why it's so fast and even to heat up. Great buy. Price if definitely right. Very fast delivery..less than 24 hrs.

Just used it for the first time this morning... put on my cast iron skillet and cooked me a piece of good old country sausage, scrambled eggs, and grits ..and I love it love it love it ...it works beautifully ..I got rid of my stove this week because it was so big and I just didn't need it anymore just cooking for me...and I've gone to using countertop appliances.. and so I'm so glad I bought this... you won't be disappointed... I was concerned that it might get hot underneath but it doesn't get hot at all on the underneath and just a bit warm on the outside... it's worth it ...trust me. THIS IS AN UPDATE... after several days later I am still extremely happy with this product it is everything I would have ever dreamed of I really really love it ..wish I had gotten it a lot sooner.. I chose the knife sharpener as my gift and it's very nice ..was delivered in 2 days thanks a bunch

*Update* After leaving my original review I contacted the manufacturer inquiring about the products warranty via their support email address (apparently they had tried to contact me on Amazon after reading my review, but I had not seen the message until after I had emailed them). I received a quick response in which they offered to send me a replacement unit. Suffice to say, in my experience I found their customer service to be very responsive and accommodating. As for the replacement unit I received, after having tested it for several days I'm happy to report that it's functioning as well as my original unit was before I started having the issue that prompted my original review. This burner does well with simple meals such as light stir-fry's, thin cuts of meat with vegetables, rice, pasta, etc. for 1-2 people. If you're looking to do larger cuts of meat, or heavier meals in general, you may want to consider an 1800W burner (or perhaps even a gas powered one). Utilize this burner appropriately, and it gets the job done pretty well. *Original review* When I initially purchased this burner I was pretty satisfied with it. I was able to sufficiently saute vegetables, mix up some stir-fry, make some home fries, etc. Unfortunately, now about four months into use, it feels like it has lost power. Granted, I know better than to expect to be able to properly sear a steak on a 1200W portable burner, but at this point I can barely brown a pre-cooked sausage in a reasonable time frame—the night prior to writing this it took at least 20 minutes to brown two pre-cooked bratwurst and some onion slices on the highest temperature setting. All of the heating elements appear to be working, so maybe something is wrong with the internal thermostat/temperature control feature and causing it to improperly maintain temperature. Regardless of the reason, it has become frustrating and I'm going to be looking for a replacement soon.

I originally thought I wanted a convection hot plate but research revealed those require a particular type of pan, so I looked into the infrared hot plates instead. The Cusimax heats extremely quickly and is so much more efficient than my gas stove. In fact, I didn't realize how inefficient my stove is. It heats the handle of one of my best frying pans until it cannot be handled without a glove. The Cusimax, because it comes in direct contact with the pan, delivers even heat where it's needed. I am getting a much better sear on meats which is great. Because the Cusimax heats differently (more efficiently), I am incurring a new learning curve about cooking times. Everything cooks more quickly which is great, but I am having to re-figure out how long to cook meats and things since they are cooking more quickly. I have been using the Cusimax a few weeks now, and the only downside has been that the "ON" and "OFF" markers wore off almost immediately, so it is now longer obvious when the switch is in the "OFF" position. In the attached photo, it is in the "OFF" position, but it is not easy to discern. There is a light that indicates when the heating elements are powered up, but that will turn itself on and off automatically to regulate the heat. I will probably have to create a sticker to make it clear when the device is turned off. Instead of using paint that wears off, maybe create an embossed dial. This is otherwise a great product that delivers a much better cook than my gas stove!

I sold my propane stove due to my circumstances changing. I love this little 2 burner cook top. Its easy to store, carry around and is great to cook on. I am so happy i made this purchase.

Works great in small spaces

Terrible stove can not use both at the same on high settings. One of them will turn off if you decide to use both of them. maybe I received a flawed one but it should have worked without an issue. it looks nice a clean. love the black look. the size and storage to put it away is not bad to stash or keep outside. the value for the money could be lower because of the wattage issue that happens when using both stoves. I would give it 5 stars if it both of them worked at the same time. the thing cooks well and fast. just be careful if you scratch the bottom of the stove its easy to make them scatched up because of the glass shiny look. so dont be rought with your pots, make sure your not stirring your pot around like a chef. The Thickness of the stove is great not too bulky at all. Overall this items looks safe does not feel like a fire hazard. would give it a better rating like i said, if the manufacturer reads this send me another and i will change my review.

This Cusimax stove has come in handy. I rarely feel the need for using a large stove. It's a great addition to my Air Fryer &microwave. It's compact, and can be used wherever there's a plug.
