AFO Foot Drop Brace - Drop Foot Brace for Walking - AFO - Unisex (Beige)

I purchased one of these almost a year ago. This brace was one of 5 different braces I purchased designed to help with foot drop, and the Dosh brace turned out to be the most effective and most comfortable of them all! Needless to say, after wearing this support for 11 months, it was getting kind of worn, so I bought a new one. I noticed little 'improvements' that actually made this support brace even more effective and more comfortable. It was refreshing that the new brace was even better than the one I bought last year! A pleasant and uncommon surprise. Having to deal with foot drop makes walking difficult, as anyone who has it can affirm. This particular brace makes functioning with foot drop a bit easier. Thank you to the makers of this well made, comfortable and useful product.

I have foot drop for 5 years now. At the beginning when I got disabled I ordered a similar brace but only Velcro instead of the buckle. At that time my ankles were weak and I needed so much more support. So it didn’t work well. But now my foot drop improved on both legs and these braces are so good for my recovery. They provided the amount of support I need, they are safe, I haven’t tripped since I am using them. (I can walk very slowly without any braces, but it is too difficult for now, takes a lot of physical and mental strength) My PT told me that these will help the recovery, because my muscles need to work hard. With my Allard Brace I get too much support and it does not allow for natural stretching in the calf

I have foot drop that is getting worse every day and I need something that is comfortable and lightweight. I have worn it twice all day and it fits both requirements as mentioned above. I also like that the band around the ankle doesn’t get overly hot in fact it didn’t get hot at all. I practically forgot I had it on. I have purchased more expensive AFO’s that you either put hooks in the eyelets of your shoe or put holes in your shoe for the hooks which work well however they make my ankle hot. The ankle band doesn’t stay in place all the time where this one gave me no problem with the band slipping. I have been looking for an AFO to wear with sandals and I tried it yesterday and it worked great. The only problem I see is the length of the buckle strap which could maybe be a tad longer. I understand that the buckle strap needs to be a certain length to able to hold the foot up. I do plan to order the other color to match lighter colored shoes. If you are trying an AFO for the first time I would recommend buying this before spending $100+ on a different style. I went for the more expensive styles thinking they would be the better choice. High $ doesn’t always mean better.

Have purchased two sets , like the design and the way it is made, color --- finally I can use light colors .Like to see a L/R configuration and the connecting strap much longer and additional loop for esear connection,the way now it is a Pain ...... to install correctly .Looks nice on pictures but in reality socksssssssssss!!!!!.My old one has a additional loop the is attached to shoe all the time and install is without aggravation. On scale 1-10 I gave you 9 for very smart design and 3 for install. Once I figured out how to install my way with out fight ,walking is as predictable it can be ...like !!!!!!. Vr Mirek .

Have reached out ot Customer Service on 2 seperate occasions and NEVER received a response back. I got this for my son who has drop foot and wears a size 12 shoe. This did not fit, as the velcro strap was not long enough. Their description says it fits ALL sizes. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND

I've had foot drop for over a year now and have tried many different braces. I like this brace the best. First off it is not hot on my leg because it doesn't cover much. You can only wear them with tennis shoes or other types of shoes with laces. Second, you cannot wear socks or you can only wear ankle or no see socks because the ankle part of the brace is designed to stick to your skin. If you were to wear the ankle brace as low as absolute possible on your ankle, perhaps you could wear regular socks because the brace would not be able to slide down anymore. I don't know about this because I haven't tried it. Overall this is a good brace and if something were to happen to it, I would buy it again.

Wasted money on this hoping it would help with my foot drop. Literally did nothing.

It is difficult to adjust it properly

This works well for my husband, who has a foot drop due to a stroke, and I will be getting a second piece. A conventional AFO did not work - it was too rigid and difficult to walk in. This does the job without the stiff, uncomfortable plate that goes all the way up the calf. We wear this with Keen Newport shoes, and have this looped round the elastic laces.

I bought this brace to combat my drop foot and it does just that. It is easy to put on as the brace just wraps securely around the ankle and not the foot, so there is no bulk in my shoe which would be uncomfortable. The buckle attaches to my shoe laces and is not hard to manipulate with my arthritic hands. No one can tell I’m wearing the brace when I wear black socks and running shoes. I also have the beige colour brace but did not like the colour of the plastic buckle as it does not match the colour of the brace. I thought it would be better in the summer with shorts on vs. long pants. I prefer the black.
