Superb bit of kit every one needs

For the price, this represents good value. They are not the highest quality, as might be expected, but they do a reasonable job of holding the workpiece in place. My only complaint is that the segments that hold the jaws have some play in them, so the workpiece can wobble which makes finessing cuts awkward and hand sanding a bit inconsistent. But, they will get you started, and should last a fair while.

As my "first chuck" it does exactly what I wanted, and at a much lower price than other brands. It runs straight, stays tight, and comes with two sets of jaws. And it arrives well packaged too. I'm very happy with it.

I purchased a Lathe chuck set. It arrived in a cardboard box. What was in the box was a very fine chuck set, indeed. Made from good quality steel. My only criticism is, they did not supply a plastic box with shaped foam lining to keep it in. I think this was very mean to say the least. But to keep a set such as this in a cardboard box, without losing any parts it would be a must. I would rather pay a little more when making the purchase and have a box with a made to measure foam inside it than in a cheap and nasty cardboard box. Come on manufacture'in China. With a little more consideration, I am sure you could have given more thought for your customers satisfaction than what you have???
