Prison Break - Complete Season 1-4 (New Packaging)

Well what can i say iv watched this through about 4 times now possibly 5 it is one i watch through once a year and is still as good as the first time, i think everyone knows the story and if not a lot of people have wrote reviews explaining the plot so i won't bore you with it what i will say is if you haven't yet watched it then this is a must the story is great the acting is excellent from all the cast every episode is exciting and has you aching for more, 4 excellent explosive action packed seasons and very unpredictable there are parts where you are just left speechless, Wentworth Miller, Dominic Purcell, Robert Knepper, Sarah Wayne Callies, William Fichtner, Amaury Nolasko and Marshall Allman all play there parts very well. I heard about there being a Prison Break sequel and thought no way but looked it up and looks like it's going ahead not reeally sure what to make of that idea or what they can even do to further the story i think it will be a genius idea or a disastrous idea, i sure hope it works. Anyways 10/10 for Prison Break, highly recommend.

Prison Break is a great show. It's full of action and suspence. Series 1 - Lots of twists and turns with great writing and acting. In my opinion the best series. Series 2 - A good series but I thought it got repetitive and lost direction a little. I think the show ran out of ideas, but it was a stepping stone for the last two series. Series 3&4 - Series 3 involves another breakout challenge for Michael (main character) and leads well onto the fourth series which is a great conclusion to the show and gives fans the final series they want which is to try and bring down the company. Overall a brilliant must watch boxset.

A very kind friend lent me the first season of Prison Break last week and I was hooked. It is so good and I had overlooked it having so many boxsets but missed this one. So I placed an order with Amazon (brilliant price) and received fast delivery. This is a boxset of the whole series 1-4 plus a final feature length episode, 23 discs in all beautifully packaged in a plastic case which opens in half. I can very very highly recommend Prison Break it is so well made and really addictive. One that can be kept and watched again, plus it is a well packaged and lovely set of DVDs.

It will be hard write to review on here that would do Justice to this Series without giving too much away. All I would say is, buy this right away if you haven’t seen it and binge watch away!! The First Season in simply Sensational, the Second Even Better if that is even possible, and the third one – despite being much shorter due to the writers’ strike, is also well worth watching and provides an insight into a very different cultural experience. The 4th Season is easily the weakest of the 4, but that is more due to the sky high expectations set by the first 2 seasons. This also includes the Bonus episodes aired sometime after the 4th season went off air – so a complete box set.

It barely held my attention at first - I kept having to replay bits because my mind wandered... The problem is the appalling wooden acting maybe - that's certainly part of it. But the whole thing just seems juvenile, for the computer-gamers - expensive production aimed at 7-year olds. It's a complete joke compared to Oz, HBO's first series (also set in a prison, with a budget on about the scale of Prisoner Cell-Block H), though it looks like it cost about 100 times as much to make. But I've got to say I eventually ' got into it' a bit. VERDICT (for anyone who can't be bothered reading any more, and why would you...) : RUBBISH BUT GOOD FUN. Much more fun for me than say Mad Men, Deadwood, and Boardwalk Empire, all of which I found a stone bore. I have to say that ALL the negative comments made about it are true, but once I got over comparing it to OZ and other class acts like the Wire and Lost etc, and accepted it for what it is, " nonsense on stilts' as one reviewer described it, then it became quite good fun, especially after they get out the prison in Season 2. I'm on Season 3 now which is even more ridiculous, but the characters who have shown staying power (not killed off yet) are really growing into their roles... So worth a watch if you've already seen all of Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica, the Wire, Oz, Lexx, the Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Spartacus, Lost, Rome, even Game of Thrones and I'm sure a few more I'll kick myself for forgetting...

I didn't watch this when it was aired on TV, a friend advised me to watch it and they were correct. I have not been gripped by a series like i was with this, in a long time. The best thing was I didn't have to wait long for the next episode, it was absolutely brilliant and kept me on the edge of my seat. I didn't think a story of prisons, inmates etc would appeal to me, but I gave it a chance and was not disappointed. WELL WORTH THE MONEY for such a great series.

I just loved this series when it came out but my daughter was very young and in bed when it was broadcast. I decided to treat myself and buy the box set earlier this year and casually told my daughter that I thought she would enjoy it herself now she is older. We ended up watching it together, she was completely hooked from the first episode. It's the first thing we've watched together for ages (our tastes in viewing are usually miles apart) - but we watched this almost every night for about 4 weeks and cried together at the end. Because she hadn't ever really talked about the storyline with anyone, she was stunned at the end. I remember feeling the same the first time I saw it yet, knowing how it ends took nothing from the whole viewing experience. Apart from 24 - It's the only box set I own and I know that I will watch this over and over again. It's great to have something that has a Start, a Middle and an End. No loose ends and no adverts.

I am so happy that You had the complete series of Prison Break. It is such a good show as it keeps You on the edge of your seat as to what is coming next and when You start watching it You do not want to turn it off. Really great acting. Really good in how they even plan the breaks. But that is the show.
