Well-built, high quality pot at this price point; sizing is accurate.
This pot is great! I have been looking for a stainless steel moka pot to replace my mom's traditional aluminum one. This is not made with the lower quality steel that some others use. It is well built, all the parts fit well and function as they are supposed to. The design looks nice and sleek, and it is made with good quality steel inside and out.It comes with a well-written manual with specific instructions for care and maintenance, as well as how to achieve the best tasting coffee. After following said instructions to "cure" the pot before trying the coffee, I am extremely happy with its function and the quality of coffee it produces. No leaks, the handle stays cool, and there were no issues with the brew process, which was quick. The sizing is accurate, and it produces 3 small 50 ml cups or one large cup.I had ordered a slightly lower priced one and was very disappointed to see the shoddy construction and very lightweight steel. I decided to spend a bit more and ordered this one. I was not disappointed. Short of getting some of the more expensive ones, this is probably the best quality you can get at this price point. Highly recommended!

Works great, truly stainless steel in all parts
I compared many models when deciding to try a Moka type coffee maker after trying out a friend's on vacation. A lot of the reviews for others mention rust ranging from after a few uses to after a few months of use.I've had and used this daily for about 5 months now and no rust in sight. It truly is all stainless steel top and bottom. I only rinse it with water to clean it, and occasionally wipe the inside of the top with a paper towel.I started off with cheap Folgers I had, then switched to better coffee. I had tried Lavazza brand instant coffee on a trip to London that the hotel provided, and loved the flavor. So I tried the Lavazza Perfetto coffee. I quickly found that this coffee pot (and I suspect most of these Moka types) has problems with very finely ground coffee. The Lavazza comes very finely ground, although it is still labeled as coffee and not Expresso. However, the coffee is too small and clogs the opening where the water/steam passes to the top, causing excess steam/pressure to build, and then force coffee into the bottom section as well. I've had a lot of steam exiting the valve on the bottom section meant specifically to release if the pressure gets too high.I ended up with not nearly as much coffee making it into the top, and much water in the bottom compartment mixed with coffee grounds.I tried several different attempts/things to rectify it - amount of coffee (less and more), making sure not to pack the coffee down, lower heat/flame on my gas stove, pre-heating the water in the microwave to the point of boiling then starting from that water. None of them solved the issue.I finally settled on using a small amount of course ground coffee (normal grind) on the bottom filter and then on the very top to keep the fine coffee from causing the top holes to plug up. This has worked, although now I don't have the complete flavor of a single coffee (the Lavazza). But it works well enough.I have also tried switching back to a normal machine drip coffee maker with the Lavazza, but using the same amount of water and coffee resulted in weak tasting coffee. So either I'd need to use a lot more coffee in the maker, or stick with this method. When it arrived, the handle wobbled a little and the lid seemed thin and sat a little kinked on the top. There's a screw to tight the handle, and I've tightened it, but the handle remains loose/wobbly. Just an irritation, not a problem. I did bend the lid slightly so it sits flush on the top. This definitely wouldn't be a good item to pack for travel - the lid would bend/break off.But daily use at home has been fine.Handle stays cool, no issues melting. I do, however, use a smaller 5th burner on my stove meant as a warming burner. I don't allow the flame to be under the handle.

Small, practical, convenient
I love this espresso maker. It's a 3 cup version and perfect for 1 person--or 2 if you share. One percolating session produces about 8oz of special brown; and it makes very good coffee. After a few trial and error runs, I finally got good coffee to go on the 5th try. My special is slowly heating the pot up via setting 3 on the stovetop. Once pressurized, let the coffee run out alongside the inner steel tube, instead of letting it spit. Once the drip slows down, I take it off the burner right away; Then pour and serve. It's perfect coffee every time!

dangerous!
steam release valve lines up directly with the handle and it releases steam as you grasp to take it off the stove. Faulty design. These 2 parts should be on opposite sides.
