Wash the dog's neck area and the contacts of the collar weekly with a damp cloth. 7. Examine the contact area daily for signs of a rash or a sore. 8. If a rash or sore is found, discontinue use of the collar until the skin has healed. 9. If the condition persists beyond 48 hours, see your veterinarian. Many pros, very few cons. Great supplemental training device.
There are only two things I dislike about this product. First is that switching modes on the remote in a time of "crisis" takes too long; I just assumed that each button produced a different function for the dog's collar. Instead, you are able to switch from mode to mode (beeping of one volume only; a shock from level 1-100 percent; a green light on the collar to see your dog in the dark; and vibration levels 1-100). Usually I only use the beep and this redirects my dog just fine without negative consequences, leading to me positively praising him for listening. If he is being stubborn I have the vibrate set pretty high, and this gets his attention with no pain. I use the shock when he is in danger (running into traffic if we happen to be off leash) or becoming aggressive with another dog. When he becomes aggressive, he grabs another dog by the scruff and scares it pretty bad. This is when I will deliver as shock, but also where my second complaint comes in. If I am set on "beep" mode, it takes WAY too long to switch to "shock" mode, especially if the remote is in "sleep mode" which occurs more often than I would like. If there was a way to access the modes faster, this would be the best product! It's also water and snow proof, so it's great year round. It keeps a pretty good charge as well, and I always take it off of my dog as soon as I am done using it. I take turns charging the collar/remote every other night or whenever necessary, and they stay charged for a good while.

FOR the price it does the job
I can’t rate on the effectiveness of the shock feature but this did help with my dog. The beep sound definitely is noticeable but for a larger louder dog is may be too quiet. Same goes for the vibration. For a 40ish pound dog it may work but for anything bigger it’s not going to be powerful enough. Rated 4 stars because of the price. The remote is light and feels super cheap but it works. I doubt this remote would be effective over more than 50ft. I would recommend this for a back up or temporary use but for something daily, spend more and get something better but.

Great product!
This product worked great! Not sure if it was to strong based off of the reaction my American Bulldog/Boxer gave me or if he is just that big of a weenie. I live on 7 acres and he wouldnt stop crossing fences that no other neighbor dog could accomplish. Neighbors called him "Hoodini" and he ended up killing 4 chickens and a duck. Got this collar and used it on him only twice when he went to cross properties and now he wont even go near the fence line.

Full one second bursts
When activating the buzzer or shocker, it puts out full one-second bursts. There is no way to give a short correction. If I tap the button quickly, it will give a shock for a full second. This is not a good way to offer correction. I don't use it anymore.

Does exactly as advertised.
I have a dog that excessively barks in public and it is very embarrassing. This product does the trick. Most of the time, I only need to use vibrate setting. The shock setting is very strong. My only gripe is that it does not have automatic mode for barking. You will always have to manually press the button for the collar to do anything.

Amazing for stubborn dogs!!
Only had to shock him once. Now just the beep or vibrate has him listening on command. Though mostly he just sees the remote and sits or stops the bad behavior. Best thing I’ve ever purchased for this dog!!

Works great. Only hard to see the (modes) shock
Works great. Only hard to see the (modes) shock, vibrate etc. Our little dog (12 lbs.) barked constantly when he would hear a car door slam or if I only wanted to look out the window. Put it on him and in the vibrate mode and it gained his attention. Only took a couple of times and now I only have to show the collar to him. Great value.

Warning, very strong shock!
Warning! The shock feature is very strong and I don't like using it on my dog. We use the vibrate function as an indicator for the dog and he usual takes the hint.
