I've tried lots of protein bars and I had high hopes for this one as it doesn't have the same long list of processed ingredients as others have. The problem is that it has a really gritty / grainy texture that's quite off putting. It's also chewy, which I really like in a protein bar, but the grittiness is difficult to ignore. The mint flavour is barely there too. Nowhere near as tasty or enjoyable as Grenade Carb Killa bars, but they do seem better quality at the macro nutrient level. I can't see myself ordering any more after this box of 12, so my search for the perfect protein bar continues....

These taste really good. They have a chewy consistency that I like and a chocolatey flavour with a hint of caramel. They're better heated up slightly in the microwave (about 10 seconds) but also good without being heated. They left me feeling satisfyingly satiated for a good 3-4 hours and are a much healthier snack than a chocolate bar or some crisps. I'll be mainly using them for endurance events as a quick and easy (and tasty!) way to maintain energy levels. I'm a really fussy eater with a massive sweet tooth so I was really pleased to find a protein bar that I liked. (Quest bars are also good, less chewy but a bit more dry.) They're too expensive for me to have them frequently, but at least they're slightly better value to buy in bulk rather than individually.

Literally the best ever tasting protein bar I have ever tried to date.I have tried and tried to see if I can find a protein bar that doesn’t taste repulsing and doesn’t have that typical granular texture.However, these Optimum Nutrition bars are amazing and they taste great just like a normal chocolate and caramel bar. Youll actually look forward to having them!

Tastes of chemicals. I will eat them but won't purchase again.

I am trying different protein bars and so far, this and the Grenade Carb Killa are my favourites.This bar is chewier than the Grenade, which I quite like, although the grenade does have slightly better nutritional values.

I really like this product not only for its low calory but also for its flavor. Chewy and crunchy.
