Hailing out of Italy SULTAN BATHERY is a power trio determined to psych-up and wizard-hat your life. Giovanni Ongaro plays Guitar and Sings, Federico Zotta plays Bass while Matteo "Madnuts" Muser bashes the drums.Their self-titled debut album/CD of 12 tracks is housed in a three-way 'psych' tinted sleeve and is issued by Slovenly Recordings 702 - 140 (Barcode 888174307916). The songs are all short bursts of garage-band angst sung in English with fuzzed-up-vocals and a great recorded-in-a-tin-can trashy feel. Particularly like the Indie Psych "Satellite" (lyrics above) and the homemade grunge of "Spring Of Youth" which feels the barroom spirit of 1991 when Seattle was the centre of the world.It's all so wildly Sixties but in a homemade garage band kind of a way...a good start you'd have to say...
