Marvel Tarot Deck and Guidebook Novelty Book – September 26, 2023

I was so excited when I saw this deck. I did see come reviews mentioning it was a pip deck, but after some searching I decided that didn't bother me.Yes it is a pip deck, but one I completely prefer over the traditional. Where traditional decks use symbolism to help you intuitively find the message, pip decks require you to remember meanings, for me this is no problem. I do want to state however his deck has his own symbolism that you can see to find the meaning.For example 3 of swords is wolverines claws. The 3 of swords is full of pain, hurt, betrayal, heartbreak, suffering and sorrow. If anyone knows wolverine you will know this 100% suits him. The author used the traditional meanings and compared them to the stories of different characters before writing the meaning from that characters prospective.The meanings are deep, and simple, said clearly so anyone even beginners can understand with ease. If you are just getting into tarot and you are a marvel fan this might be the deck for you. You'll know the stories and as you read the meanings it'll be a connection that is worth it. Each one was carefully thought out, and it is clear a lot of time went into each one.The art is absolutely stunning on top of this, the cards are a good thickness. The book is sturdy (trust me I bent mine so bad copying definitions I'm gonna have to press the book to get it to close again) hasn't come undone at all.I 100% recommend this set to anyone, I do not regret this buy and I couldn't be happier.

Got this as my gift for my sister. She loved it and the art on card is nice. Although she wishes magento and haweye were included in the set.

The cards are beautifully drawn, and have amazing artwork. I also think the characters in the cards are very fitting for the meaning behind each one. I can feel they’re sturdy, and won’t bend easily. It also has a little booklet to help guide the meanings behind the cards, which is helpful. I will say, however, that if you want to use these cards for more than just a collectors item, I would recommend them to people who are a bit experienced and are more in tune with their intuition, since feeling imagery is a big part of tarot, and some of the cards may be a bit harder to look into. It is such a beautiful deck though, and I’m sure any Marvel tarot fan would be overjoyed to have them.

The major arcana is great with a few questionable choices. Definitely influenced by Marvel on who they want to push for mcu or comic reasons. The minor arcana is a cop-out. Little icons are supposed to convey fully embellished meanings? No. Its all very well produced and designed, but, the avid Tarot user knows this is a marketing gimmick not good enough for divinations.

I love the artwork and how easy it is to use.

My husband played a marvel game that had him collect tarot cards just like this and I heard him talking about how much he loved these so I had to find them and get them! Great quality and he loved them.

I bought this not because it's a Tarot deck (such things aren't interesting to me, personally) but because I am a big fan of the artist-illustrator, Lily McDonnell who provided stunning Marvel portraits for every card.Lily's work is evocative of the master of Art Deco, Francois Mucha. It's so fun to see the Marvel characters we all know and love portrayed this way.I only hope this deck will be printed larger one day or perhaps in art book format.

I love these cards. I’ve been interested in Tarot cards for a while, but having ones that are also Marvel themed and weren’t expensive was awesome. They also come with a book to help you understand what the cards are supposed to mean and instruct you on how to do readings which is helpful. Not all of their cards come with instructions. I would recommend this to anyone who is so interested in tarot and is a big Marvel fan.
