VitaCup Mushroom Based Instant Coffee Alternative Packets, 24ct

I love this stuff. Gives me tons of energy, but not in that caffeinated sort of way. The ingredients are clean and healthy, and I love the flavor. I will say that I don't like sugary products so this is perfect for me - if you do, just add some sweetener. It's a little grainy bc it's mushroom powder and cacao - BUT - if you add a creamer it's just like a hot chocolate. Got a subscription I love this so much more than coffee. ALSO! If you're experiencing perimenopause this is a MUST. I think it's the ceylon cinnamon that balances blood sugar but whatever the reason, I don't have the crash and low blood sugar crash like I do when drinking coffee.

I'm rather new to mushroom coffee so I ordered ryze, mud water, daily dose and this stuff. I would say this was the least expensive one. It cost about a third of the other ones. The taste is better than most. They're all very different daily dose taste like coffee but it tastes like instant coffee with mushrooms in it which has no flavor. The ryze is delicious. I enjoy all of the ryze flavors but it's expensive. Mud water was horrific. It tasted like dirt and had grainy stuff at the bottom all the time. The other ones dissolved well. This one dissolves very very well. Probably the best. has a great flavor and no caffeine so you can drink it in the evening as well

Overall, I'd give Shroom Fuel by VitaCup a 6.5/10. Its packaging was simple enough, it gave me the same vibes as what you see in grocery stores in the drink powder sections. Each packet is neatly placed in the box with just enough details to explain what the product contains and instructions to use. In terms of flavor, I personally couldn't drink more than half a cup. It wasn't my "cup of tea" if you get what I'm saying (haha or "cup of coffee" in this case). I wouldn't categorize the flavor as awful, but for me, I would have to add creamer and sugar as I would with regular coffee to enjoy it. But for the sake of reviewing the product as a stand-alone, I didn't do this, I wanted to give my opinion on its natural state. Also, I personally prefer my coffee and tea chilled, so in this case, the product isn't best for those like me either considering you have to mix it with hot milk or water for it to dissolve properly, and if you wait for it to cool down, it will separate. I haven't attempted to put it in the fridge despite this and try to re-mix it, but I've checked other online reviews and their own instructions, and basically, it wouldn't work anyway. I'm still going to try to see if it's a method that could work for me to not waste anything, but we shall see. Lastly, in terms of odor, I actually thought it smelled worse than it tasted. But despite this, it threw me off for the taste test of it since I already had an opinion of how it would go. I definitely think it's a great alternative if you're looking for a coffee replacement or its benefits (e.g. B vitamins and maca root), but otherwise, I'd say it's pretty standard. In terms of price, I think it would've been better off around the $9.99 mark instead of the $15 mark, or maybe to have it cheaper if you buy it in larger quantities, but otherwise, I don't think pricing was too bad if it works well for you and you enjoy the mixture. I am VitaCup girl through and through! I had a severe bought with acid reflux at the beginning of the year that landed me in the ER and ultimately underwent an endoscopy. I started drinking VitaCup's Decaf organic coffee in the KCup form and my life was literally changed. A friend recently got me into Mushroom coffee. I tried another very expensive brand as seen on Tik Tok, had a huge following but, honestly I'm not about to pay $40 for a small bag of mushroom dust. So, I realized, I needed something different and I also wanted it to be organic. I also wanted to steer away from KCups due to the plastic (I don't trust it getting that hot and perhaps chemicals getting in my coffee). I figured, why not stick with a brand I already love and have literally Subscribe & Saved to. Then I found this Shroom Fuel. I was a little put off by some of the comments regarding it tasting or smelling like dog food but wanted to give it a proper shot because lets face it, mushroom coffee will never smell like coffee beans/Starbucks haha This is IT!!!!!!!! Idk what others are tasting but this does not taste like dog food! If you are a chocolate lover, you are going to swoon over this flavor. I have NEVER had a mushroom coffee that tasted this rich and just straight up GOOD. There is no icky earthy after taste. There isn't the conundrum of where the mushroom powder mix conflicts in flavor with creamers. Nope. Trust me. You need to give this a try. I will be signing up to Subscribe & Save to this moving forward.

Taste like hot chocolate with cinnamon in it. Not bad. There's not much in the packet, so 1 packet is enough for 1/2 cup of water or milk or else the beverage will taste watered down. It's gritty and you have to stir as you sip. If you let it sit, then you have to stir again before drinking because everything settles to the bottom. It definitely helped with clarity and alertness but I didn't notice until after the second or third use. I alternate with with coffee. On days that I'm not so busy I drink Vita cup, but on those high demand days that require long hours I need coffee as the "shroom fuel" didn't give me the lasting energy that I needed to make it through the day.

Love this product! I add it to my morning fav K-cup, with some steamed milk & it’s the perfect mocha-latte. I’ve tried other functional coffees, but I keep coming back to the Vita-cup. I use the packets that are only shrooms, cocoa & vitamins so I’m not adding caffeine. It’s delish & I feel amazing. Of course, if caffeine is an issue for you, you probably don’t wanna mix it with coffee. For me, it’s the perfect blend of calm, focus and energy, and I would highly recommend!

I love this stuff! My morning coffee started making me feel a little jittery, so I swapped out my 2nd cup with a cup of this. It smells amazing with a subtle hint of cinnamon. The taste is a little weak (I usually love dark roast black coffee), but it satisfies the urge for another cup and leaves me feeling better than a 2nd cup of coffee would have. You do have to stir it well or you will be left with sludge in your cup at the end. I usually hit it with a frother or keep a spoon in the cup. I liked it so much that I sent some to my brother to try. He said he liked it so much he was going to buy some for his boss.

I love this stuff. I don’t mix it with water. I just add it to my coffee and it gives it a chocolate flavor. Soo good. It also does seem to help with my focus but I don’t think it does anything to curb my appetite.

I really like this, as per some of the reviews I did add this to black coffee for a stronger coffee taste. I honestly am impressed, I drink this around 8 am and don’t eat until 2 or 3pm. I don’t feel hungry until later on. I’m not an everyday coffee drinker so I’m thinking to put this in a smoothie as well. If you are looking for a meal suppressant, this product definitely helps.

For those looking for something that tastes like coffee this is NOT it. It tastes like hot chocolate with cinnamon which I find delicious, especially with some cream added. The health benefits are better than coffee so I decided to replace my morning cup with this for the last two days. It did NOT give me the energy I usually get from coffee so I’m going back to coffee in the morning. I will have this later in the morning, afternoon or after dinner when I would usually want a coffee. It’s a treat for me but not a coffee replacement in the morning when I need more of an energy boost.

I enjoyed this as a coffee alternative. It doesn't take like coffee, but it's a warm comforting drink that I can have any time of day without worrying about being up all night.

This product has the complete opposite effect that I wanted. It made me tired and my body feels almost numb. No energy, no extra clarity or focus. I came on here to read the reviews to see what other people thought and saw some of the same comments, but then when I saw the review that pointed out the lead warning on the bottom of the box, that was the final straw for me. Wtf. Possible lead???? I wish I could report this product. A product that has something like a lead warning should make that much clearer for purchasers. I never would’ve bought this if I’d known about that warning.

When I first tasted the product, it reminded me of hot coco with cinnamon. The product doesn't really taste like coffee nor does it feel like you are drinking caffeine. I can taste some of the ingredients including the lion's mane, its an acquired taste. I have yet to feel the benefits of all the plant-based herbs and vitamins. I've only just begun using the product. And I'm mixing it with coffee when I thought this would be my coffee alternative. You don't get much powder in the packets for the amount of money you pay per box of 24. $36 per box is a lot of money to spend unless you are getting real antioxidant benefits in your body. I'm not sure if I will purchase this one again or try another coffee type from Vitacup.
