as a first time, Mom, I was absolutely nervous about using this for my son‘s nails. He is two months and I’ve tried clipping his nails and filing my hand and it was either too slow or too close to cutting his skin and I just felt too nervous to do it. Even when he was asleep, I would not be able to get his nails cut the way I like them to be and I felt they grew out fast. With this device, it doesn’t hurt the baby. I can get close to his skin and make sure his nails are nice and short. I feel comfortable using the machine. It’s easy to use and worked perfectly and provided a battery upon the packaging 10 out of 10 recommend especially as a first time parent. Get this device.

Overall really liked this nail buffer. This does not suddenly make nail care a breeze for a baby (under 1) simply because babies move around so much and have such small nails. However, it is much simpler than clippers once you get used to it. I particularly like that my daughter's nails no longer have sharp edges - even once I got the hang of clipping, I could never get smooth edges and she was always scratching me. The buffer takes care of that. Pros and Cons summaries below. Pros: 1. Once used to it, you end up with smooth, rounded nails with no sharp edges. This is huge because even if her nails get a little long, they no longer have sharp edges that scratch me. 2. Didn't take long to get used to and then was pretty quick to use. That's really it on pros but honestly they outweigh the cons. Cons: 1. Unclear how long each pad lasts and how easy it is to buy replacements without buying a new kit. Speaking of - with clippers you never have to buy an additional product so just the fact that the buffer pads will wear out and eventually need to be replaced is annoying, though that would be true of all buffers. 2. The instructions are not great. In particular, could have used recommended pad brittleness by age - I did not know where to start with my 6 month old. Also found the directions related to which direction the pad circles confusing and not helpful. Still unclear why it matters. 3. Packaging is excessive and not actually that helpful. All Frida products seem to come in white cases but the cases aren't labeled externally so once they are in my closet, I have no clue which is which. This is actually fairly annoying for tired parents. I manually label each with a sharpie and that works fine. 4. A little weird to get used to using. 5. Your child will not magically sit still for this - my daughter was super interested in the buzzing so she kept trying to grab it. 6. I don't actually think this would work for while asleep like it says because it does make noise and you need to hold their hand but to each their own.

I cannot say enough good things about this nail file. We got it for my son because I didn’t want to use the traditional nail clippers. He was a preemie and came home at just 4 pounds, and we used the newborn pad on his tiny finger nails, and it works great! It doesn’t damage his skin around the nail or cause any harm. There is 3 speed options and you can choose which way you want it to spin. This is nice when switch from left and right hands! The quality is great, as we use this every other night and the pads have not gotten wear and tear yet. It comes with multiple different age - related pads, which grows with the baby! It is easy to use, to clean, and to store - with it being in a case it is easy to fit nicely into a diaper bag. The value for money is worth it! PS - I even used it on my nails and it worked just as great!

This is SO much easier and safer in my opinion than using traditional nail clipper or a regular nail file. The buffer is super gentle and doesn’t nick the skin, which was my biggest concern. I love that it comes with different pads for different ages, so it grows with your baby. The motor is quite which is a huge plus. I can file my baby’s nails while she’s sleeping or relaxed without waking her up. It also gives you really good control with adjustable speeds and directions. The battery last many many uses. My daughter is almost 5 months old and I haven’t had to replace the batteries. Fits nicely in your hand and the case is really nice if you want to travel with it. Definitely a need on a baby registry

My son is a fussy little one. He squirms a lot. Wants to be held most of the time (3 month old nicu baby). I was worried I wouldn’t be able to cut his nails, but when I used this, he stayed calm on my lap while I took care of his nails. There are different grit types and it goes by months so the one I used didn’t hurt or irritate him. I used the 0-3 month buffer. It was easy to use. It took a few seconds to get each nail. Pretty quick. It also has a lifetime warranty. I’ll save it even after he’s graduated from the nail buffering stage just in case I need it in the future. Totally recommend :)

We live Frida, but this item was not designed for babies with strong nails. Our 2m old son’s nails didn’t even have a dent after trying the recommended filing tip and the next stringer one. We have an 80lbs dog whose nails we Dremel, and this tool is not the baby equivalent.

Very good product! Soft touch on baby’s nails and pretty powerful comparing with similars kn the market. no issues in the first month!
