Does it reduce limescale only along the side of the kettle or also in the boiled water?

It does improve the kettle scale &water scale a bit but not completely. Every time I change the water I rinse out the descaler as well. It’s quite a good solution.

You leave these in the kettle all the time. Every so often I take it out and rinse it under the tap giving it a good squeeze and you will see all the limescale come out of it.
