STONETECH Oil Stain Remover, Cleaner for Natural Stone, Grout, & Masonry, 3OZ (88.7ML) Can

I don’t normally write reviews unless the product is outstanding. This company deserves a review. The first time I used the product nothing happened. I decided to try again and remove it within 12 hours. It made the area look even worse because the product went inside the quartzite and it made it look even more stained, but the next day when it was dried, the stains were gone.only one little one was left, so I did the whole princess again, and now my countertop is free if stains. I had some huge oil stains (2) and another 6 smaller stains. They are all gone. I wish I took a before and after picture. The secret is to keep doing the treatment over and over until they are gone and leave the product less than a day. The only reason they tell you to leave it two days is because you will be so scared to remove it before and see a stain that is three times bigger, but that is just the product that infiltrated your quartzite or marble and once it evaporates in the next 24 hours, the stain evaporates with it. It was like magic for me. I’m so thankful to this company for creating such an amazing product and if I could give 100 stars, I would. The next time I remove a stain I’m going to take before and after pictures.

My original review is below. I needed it again after letting oil sit on the countertop for weeks. I had something decorative sitting and didn't move it for awhile. I did not know the bottom was oily, since I had washed it. Well, big surprise, there was oil and it had a chance to soak in. I had to use this treatment a few times to get rid of this stain, because the oil had time to soak in. This stuff is fabulous. I had tried all the home remedies, and nothing worked on the original problem I treated with the first can. This time I was not freaking out, because I knew if I bought and used this, the stain would be history and back to normal. I did finally get the better sealant on my countertops, and normal oil exposure stopped being a problem. This pushed the sealant past its limits. Thank goodness for this product! I wish that everything I purchase would live up to its promise the way that this does.... ************************* Original review: This is amazing! My new countertops stained with normal exposure to olive oil. Unfortunately I did not know that they were so badly sealed until I had cooked a huge holiday dinner - the first chance I got to use them. I had noticed dark spots but hoped they would evaporate out overnight. It turns out that the countertops need a different sealant, but in the meantime, I needed to get rid of the olive oil stains. This stuff really works! After I had it all cleaned up, something else soaked into the countertop and although I did not know its origin, I tried this and it worked. Still, waiting for the new sealant.... I noticed that the soap dispenser had dripped soap onto the countertop and it, too, was not evaporating out. I used it on that, and voila! no more stain. If I can just get the fabricator out to fix the sealant, I might not need this anymore. Try it on anything. It worked on oil, an unknown, and liquid soap.

I had a large olive oil stain on my granite that had been there for months (was hidden and I didn't know it was there), and I was desperate for a solution. Found this Stonetech Oil Stain Remover and gave it a go. I've now treated the stain 5 times. It is substantially better than when I started, but still noticeable. I did see improvement each time I used it, but the last two times the improvement was pretty limited. At this point I'm going to declare it to be as good as it can be. If the stain hadn't set untreated for so long, I suspect this product would have worked better. This stuff comes in a pretty small container, so isn't exactly a good value. My stain was large enough that I really needed 1 1/2 cans to treat it properly each time. Still, I think the money I spent on it proved to be worth the improvement I saw. The first 3 times I tried it, the smell was pretty overpowering. For some reason, the last two cans I tried didn't have nearly as strong a smell (a big improvement). All in all, I think it's a decent product and is pretty effective.

This stuff works but the smell is super strong! If you have sensitivities (asthma + allergies) plan to set up proper ventilation & be gone for about 3-5 days as it airs out. The smell is similar to nail polish remover x 10. I had to change my air filter to a carbon-enhanced version to help reduce the lingering odor and VOCs. Really ruined the air quality in my home and kicked me in the butt on the backend. Solved one problem to create another.

It was a Friday night, and my lady and I were cooking for the first time in our brand new home. The music was reverberating through the hardwood floors and the lights were casting a romantic glow throughout the kitchen. The pot was boiling on the stove; little water bubbles fizzing with energy and excitement. In went the condiments, on went the lid, time to hit "Next Track". "Love?", she said. "Why won't this come off?" "Why won't what come off"? I replied, curiously. "This ring on the counter". I stumbled over to the crime scene. A dark circle that was suspiciously similar to the circumference of the olive oil bottle was staring at me, like a devilish granite eye. Without hesitation, I grabbed some all-purpose spray cleaner and smothered the ring of death, completely saturating it. Next, I suffocated it with a paper towel, frantically wiping, trying to deprive it of the life it once knew. Nothing. It still leered. I swear I heard an cackling in the distance. Was it mocking me? Flash-forward to 15 minutes later, and I've had two revelations: 1) Granite counter tops can stain, and stain easily. 2) There's this stuff on Amazon that you can buy, which will more than likely save them. Flash-forward again to 4 days later, and there's a teeny-tiny can sitting on my doorstep. I promptly watch a YouTube tutorial (because who likes reading directions, am I right!?). I slather this wonder putty on, and pray. 48 hours pass, but it felt like years. They say you should leave it on for 48-72 hours, but let me tell you - you won't be able to make it 72 hours. After two days it looked dry, so I decided it was time to take the leap. I grabbed a razor and ever-so-gently began scraping the magical cream away. HALLELUJAH! SING SONGS OF PRAISE! STONETECH, MY SAVIOR! The oil stain was gone, and I mean completely gone. No evidence remained from that fateful night where I sat the bottle of olive oil down on the counter, and it won't happen again. Why, you ask? Because they make this thing called "Bulletproof sealer". In fact, it's probably on the page you are looking at right now as a "Recommended Item". Overall I was satisfied with the product. I have since taken to purposely staining my counters with oil just so that I can remove them 48 hours later with this stuff.

Thankfully, in the end, this worked. We recently renovated our main bathroom and ordered a vanity with a marble top (this was just by chance as I had zero knowledge of the types of countertop materials and which ones to avoid or be aware of). 5 days into having the bathroom completed, my wife shows me a spot with a darkened circle, probably 3-4 inches in diameter. We don’t know what sat there - could have been a diffuser we use for essential oils that had some run off on the base, shampoo bottles that dripped or something else. We had just come back from vacation so it could have been anything from the items we were putting away after the trip. Initially I tried two different types of spray cleaners to get the etching (aka the stain- I learned new words in this process too) off, but they didn’t do the trick. They sort of lightened the mark, but in the end we needed something else. This stuff stayed on the counter for three full days and with a little plastic spatula, the dried pieces left scraped off to leave a completely repaired surface! Couldn’t be happier that we didn’t ruin the new surface after only 5 days :). Oh and the canister that it came in is maybe two inches in diameter. It is super small so don’t be fooled by the image on the product page. It’s definitely magnified. If you have a large area, you’ll need a few of these. As you can see from the top picture, the etching was completely dried out and removed.

I had an oil stain on our granite countertop from a cooking oil spray that was aaprebtly leaking for quite some time. I applied a thick layer of this magic paste on the stain and slightly wider. Then on day 2, there seemed to be a darker stain around the spot where I applied the paste, and I got scared that it would make everything worse and leave the stain even larger. But I waited for 3 or 4 days until it dried completely - by that time the stain around the paste was gone. I scraped off the paste - and oh magic!!! The stain is completely gone!! I did read some negative reviews and was hesistant in the beginning. Maybe it doesn't work on all types of granite, but I'm happy it worked for me. Will use it again around the gas stove where we have some oil residue from cooking.

Works on oil spots, doesn't work on coffee spots. Used extra on the spot. Pulled nail gun oil our carpenter got on our quartizite out. 85-95% gone in one dose. Buying a second can just to keep around.

It took out a motor oil stain from my concrete dining table. A 3 inch wide blob. After the product was removed it took 3-4 day for the spot to fade , then the cement had to be re sealed on the spot after. Now the table does not look uniform anymore. There’s a difference where it was re sealed. It’s better than the stain. But I wanted perfect.

It does the job but little bit pricey.

I used StoneTech Oil Stain Remover on a couple of weeks old grease stain on my concrete patio (bbq grease pan overflow). I followed the instructions on the label and 3 days later the stain was gone! Quite pricey though.
