Looks good but found it doesn't keep my tea hot for very long.

This flask jug was adequate for keeping hot liquids for a couple of hours but always dribbled. When I started using it for storing iced water in the hot weather I could tell straight away something was off with the taste. The mechanism uses a spring loaded plunger. You press the top button and the plunger is compressed, the liquid flows through. The spring pushes the plunger back up and seals the vacuum again. But the liquid actually flows through the mechanism, and the spring has rusted. Now everything is tainted by the rusty spring. Within six months (by no means constantly used) it is useless. Very poor value for money. Avoid.

I'm pleased with this as it keeps my water hot most of the day.

I have been using "coffee" carafes for my tea pots for years now. As a general rule they are lighter weight when full so easier for me to lift and pour. Not only is that true for this one, but the way the top comes completely off makes it so much easier to fill and clean. One of those foam dish mops from the dollar store and a good swish and you are done. DO NOT USE SOAP IN THE TEA POT EVER! My father is 92 and has tremors. He likes to be able to fix me a pot of tea as a sort of thank you for taking care of him. Even he can fill this one from our electric kettle. It holds more than a half-gallon of lovely sanity saving, emotionally supportive tea. At the rate I drink tea, this is a huge blessing, as I don't constantly have to be running off to refill it. Another plus was that it says it will keep my tea hot for a full 24 hours. Honestly, I don't know how true that is though because I never have a pot last that long, But... I made myself a pot to go with dinner and a couple shortbread cookies for afters and it's now 3:41 am and the cup I just poured is still hot enough I had to make sure to add enough half and half to, so it was cool enough I didn't burn myself. I got mine for $18 and change and it was worth every penny.

Die Kanne tropft extrem nach . Der Kaffee bleibt nur 2 Stunden in einer trinkbereiten Temperatur . Nach jeder Berührung der Kanne , muß man sie feucht abwischen . Nicht zu empfehlen .
