Nice paper, too much texture
It's a good paper for the price. I got the A3 and A4 pads to sketch ideas with Polychromos and Abrecht Durer pencils, as well as general graphite sketching. It has enough tooth for layering the Polychomos, but it won't take any water so I'll be using the Durer pencils dry. It's quite good to sketch things on and try out ideas and colours; it's good for the price and I'm pleased I bought the sketch pads. I was a little disappointed to find that it's not as smooth as I'd hoped and the texture does show through - I've attached a photo of a drawing I started so you can see what I mean and decide for yourself if the texture is too much. Overall I'm fairly happy with the pads, but would probably buy more hotpress watercolour blocks instead in future because of this paper's limtations, though it's nice to have a couple of good quality and fairly inexpensive pads to do some quick sketching in.

Better than a box of chocs
Quality productAny artist knows young or old amateur or pro that to open a new sketch pad is better than a box of chocs. And this one is definitely better than a box of chocs.Nice quality lovely texture not flimsy but a substantial thickness of paper that will last for those sketches you wish to keep. Also thick enough to paint on if you should wish.

Good quality.
Bought for my art-mad 12yr old daughter. She rates it very highly and is pleased with how smooth the paper is to sketch and draw on. She's very happy to have a 'proper' artist's sketchbook at last!

Good quality
Excellent paper for doing adult colouring. lt went through my printer with no problems to print my image on. Paper is good quality and thick and is excellent for building up layers with pencil I used markers pens and it was fantastic

Very Thick and Quality Pad
Pages are very thick at the given weight, so if you're into tracing, you'll be best off with a 'Layout Pad' with pages at least half the weight. Otherwise, if you're looking for thick, quality paper to take your dedcaited, quality sketches, you can't go wrong with this pad. The pages are tightly secured together, yet easily removed at will. The texture of the paper is satisfying and holds all the stated medium well. Trusted brand and a trusted product!§

Recommended on the journey for watercolour contr
Very durable manageable paper. I shall buy again. I can control colour with water much better than other types I have tried and it doesn't clog up. The result is much better.Colour is everything.

Good book but off-white pages!
This is a very good book to use for my drawing; I use with Uni pin fine line pens and it works perfectly well. The pages are nice and easy to tear out of the book. However the pages are not quite white; they are almost a creamy, off-white colour which was quite awkward when I scanned in the pages to use as colouring pages. This could be fixed digitally though. Nevertheless, this is a nice book to use and great quality paper.

Perfect for the budding artist in most mediums
Bought for my 14yr old who draws/paints every day. They loved the feel of the paper, & how watercolours were able to be merged without it bleeding or soaking into the fibres. They use Poscar pens a lot, & said this paper was "great" for them too. The only medium she didn't like was the charcoal as it smudged as they moved their hands about (they are left handed). I'd recommend for the person who likes to draw for pleasure, rather than a scribble pad!!
