It exceed my expectations no smoke leaks and works great. I used it in an unorthodox way. My fireplace only puts out radiant heat and pretty useless. I put the chimney up the fireplace flue and plugged up the fireplace chimney flue with fire wool. I used screws on the bottom instead of the legs. It warms the house just fine.

No experience with other stoves, but this seems nice for the price. Was missing a nut welded inside to mount a leg, but I found a spare in my hardware collection. I would recommend assembling before heading out on a trip. It is heavier than expected, which will hopefully be good for longevity, but this is not for traveling light like something from titanium, or thin stainless.

Solid 4.5 almost a 5 but it's just a bit to short to fit most wood you can purchase. I've been scavenging wood on my property, just got a 23$ corona tree saw to help(highly recommend a good tree saw to cut down perfect size logs).It rained recently and I wasn't able to get fire lit for a while, I found you can take the racks like in my picture and use them to dry out damp logs from the heat of the wood burner. It's been perfect to dry out my damp wood.Very good quality for the price, the initial light is difficult with damp wood, but that's more of an issue with the properties of wet wood and starting a fire and nothing to do with the product.I wish it were about 2 inches longer than I could fit store bought or local bought firewood, hence the 4.5 and not 5 stars.Keeping my tent 8ftx8ft toasty in 28~F weather that's under 0*C.Also nice to heat up a can of soup on the burner or some hot dogs.

The stove is decent. Definitely cheap feeling especially with the legs, hardware is junk. Shipping was another story. They shipped it from California to New Jersey and then to Colorado where I’m at… took way longer than expected. Amazons shipping is a disaster anymore. Used it once outside for a test and it performed fine. I feel $100 is worth it.

I added a damper, purchased separately, for the heat and burn control of the wood. I also added lock washers for the legs and the window screws. In addition, I added a small heat gasket around the door. Perfect product!
