This is an accessible, well written volume in a six part series on the War of 1812. The author effectively uses original sources, detailed maps, period prints and contemporary photos to explain the maneuvers and battles that occurred along the Great Lakes, the Niagara Peninsula, the St. Lawrence River and Lake Champlain.

Love the detail - some I have never read about.
