Their shape gives them a different look, but that was something I got used to quickly. They are lightweight, cheap and serve as a fashionable foot covering and not much else. If that's what you're looking for, you may want to give these a try. But, I wouldn't consider these if you're looking for arch support or a high impact running shoe. Review: Great Shoes--need a true brown option - I have this style in multiple colors, and I love them all. The wide toe box makes them extremely comfortable. I've been wearing them almost exclusively for the past four years. I wish they'd make a proper brown, though, with a brown or gum sole. (They had a brown and white option at one point that just didn't look right.) This beige is great with jeans, but the color is wrong for khakis. ## Features - Wide toe box allows the toes to wiggle freely, giving you fantastic barefoot comfort - Zero-drop sole offers proper posture and supports the correct walking stereotype - Rubber outsole provides flexible underfoot lugs, creating unrestricted movement and better variable adaptability - Minimalistic canvas upper provide a more heritage look with increased durability and protection - Lightweight follows natural movement of the foot and gives a barefoot feel while offering protection ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B0BJZLLSQL | | Best Sellers Rank | #43,141 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ( See Top 100 in Clothing, Shoes & Jewelry ) #194 in Men's Fashion Sneakers | | Brand | WHITIN | | Closure Type | Lace-Up | | Closure type | Lace-Up | | Color | W81 V2 | All Black (Canvas) | | Cushioning Level | minimal | | Customer Reviews | 4.4 out of 5 stars 718 Reviews | | Fit to Size Sentiment | positive | | Heel Type | No Heel | | Inner material | Canvas | | Insole Cushioning | EVA | | Item Highlight | Toe Splay Freedom, Lightweight & Comfortable, Reliable Traction, Flexible Movement, Commute & Travel | | Lace Closure | Lace-Up | | Material Fabric | Canvas | | Model Name | W81v2 | | Occasion Lifestyle | Casual | | Occasion Type | Daily | | Outer Material | Canvas | | Outer material | Canvas | | Pattern | Solid | | Pronation Correction | neutral | | Seasons | All | | Shoe Height Map | Low Top | | Shoe Type | Athletic Shoe | | Sole Material | Rubber | | Sole material | Rubber | | Special Features | Slip Resistant | | Sport Type | Skateboarding, Tennis, Walking | | Strap Type | Lace-Up | | Style Name | Minimalist | | Subject Character | Barbie | | Theme | Casual, Sport | | Toe Style | Round Toe | | Water Resistance Level | Not Water Resistant | ## Images ![WHITIN Men's Canvas Wide Barefoot Sneakers Casual Style W81V2 - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81PoozbWefL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color, Size** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: For the manufacturer...will these be made available in brown leather?** A: Hopefully so! **Q: How thick is the sole?** A: The rubber on the outside is about a one inch wide strip at the heel and a bit narrower at the toe. The actual insoles are only about half an inch thick, also tapering a bit towards the toe. They do have a bit of a curve in the arch. I am a chef feel it necessary to note that the amount of cushion in the soles isn't adequate for a fourteen hour shift on your feet, also the soles are not non slip on slightly wet, greasy, smooth surfaces. That being said, they're quite nice for casual shoes and for a couple hours. Hope this helps! **Q: can I wash these in the washing machine?** A: Yes, I have several times with no issues, Air dry. **Q: Do they fit narrow feet?** A: I'm sure they would.. but you will likely have a lot of extra room to wiggle around in, especially in front of the shoe section (toe box). The shoes fit much more wide in the toes more so than anything which is the nicest part about them other than being very lightweight and flexible. 👍😉 ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Simple and cheap shoe, good for wide feet *by M***R on August 23, 2026* Great entry point for this kind of shoe (zero drop, wide toebox). The wide toe box makes them extremely comfortable. I've been wearing them almost exclusively for the past four years. I wish they'd make a proper brown, though, with a brown or gum sole. This beige is great with jeans, but the color is wrong for khakis. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great show concept (jus not comfortable) *by H***. on March 24, 2026* The Pros: - The shoes have a wide toe box as advertised and reason for the purchase. - My feet and toes weee happy - Clean look - Very flexible move around in - Affordable The Cons: - Not comfortable if you wear them more then 2 hours outdoors on different surfaces - The sole should be replaced at the time you try them on. I had to use a different pair after 1 walk. Honestly not a bad shoe and would purchase more if the comfortability was better. You do get what you pay for. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.jp/products/512299685-whitin-mens-canvas-wide-barefoot-sneakers-casual-style-w81v2](https://www.desertcart.jp/products/512299685-whitin-mens-canvas-wide-barefoot-sneakers-casual-style-w81v2) --- *Product available on Desertcart Japan* *Store origin: JP* *Last updated: 2026-11-08*
