I started taking it when I noticed a 'heavy chest' sensation whenever I would stay awake too long (I suffer with insomnia). I don't know why this happens, but it also happens to a friend of mine, who recommended the vitamin C. However, I read that Liposomal C is even more affective overall. When I started taking it, I noticed it had helped relieve constipation when taken at a higher dose (3 pills). Supplement brands are also important, I have noticed.
