Big Ride Racing Brake Bleed Kit for Avid (inc 100ml DOT 5.1 Fluid)

This is a great alternative to the official bleed kit. I've used it now to bleed both front and rear brakes and it worked fine. Must admit I would have liked to have seen the plastic blocks included to replace the brake pads as it's easy to leak the fluid onto the pads (I managed to get the stuff everywhere but thankfully not on the pads).Instructions are clear but I didn't not appreciate how important it is to adjust the reach screws until I ended up with a really spongy front brake: if you bring the lever in before bleeding you can let it back out afterwards to get rid of the sponginess.All told very pleased.

Good set up and includes everything you need. Not massively clear the type of brakes the coil will fit. Didn’t fit on my Specialized so had a lot of trouble performing the bleed/refill.

Easy to use with good quality components, fittings and spare seals. Easily bled my Avids with no massive issues and supplied with plenty of fluid. Just be careful you do this in a warm environment as in cold weather the tubing becomes extremely stiff making it difficult to close the clamps and also losing the seal between the tubing and brass ferrules letting in air. In a warm room this was not a problem though

A great kit that contains everything you need to bleed your Avid brakes including a T10 screwdriver bit, paper towels, gloves, an elastic band and most importantly clear and concise instructions. The only thing that is missing is a caliper brake bleed block but that's not a big deal.

This was bought to bleed sram road hydraulic rim brakes as I needed to trim one of the hoses during install on an internally routed frame, it was the first time I have ever bled brakes on a bike.The kit came with everything I needed. Following the sram road video instructions on youtube was straightforward and I was pleased with the performance of the kit and the end result. I'd buy this again.

I purchased this kit because the brakes on my bike were binding, and the bike shop was unable to solve the problem.I know nothing about disc brakes on cycles or how to bleed them, but that was not an issue with this kit.The instructions are very easy to understand and follow step by step, just make sure you read through the instructions several times as their is a lot to do.A very easy kit to use and did the job perfectly.
