Started working out seriously June 2011 & had been using the 20 Gram Protien bars from Costco. Decided to step up to this. Was a little hesitant after reading some of the one star reviews, but had tried the Banana & thought it was ok. So far I'm about 70% through my first bag, using it right after working out & still use the protein bars on off days. The flavor's fine and the powder was fresh when it arrived so no complaints at all. The only possible downside is that I burp a lot after drinking it but that could be from air being incororated into the mix in the blender. As far as mixing, I blend in one scoop at a time to prevent lumps. Also, I only get some occasional muscle soreness after a hard workout ( working 4 sets to muscle failure ) and don't know if it's because the protein in this is absorbed quickly as they claim or not. Could be but who knows. I'm also up about 8 or 9 pounds since June ( a lot for me since I stated around 150 ) so everything together seems to be working. Short version is, yes, I recomend this stuff. March 22, 2012 Update. Had my annual physical. The blood test showed Creatinine High ( above range ) and protein in my urine. Doc said "If you're 18, that's ok, But.. ) since I'm "mature" (retired) that's not a good thing, and to reduce my protein intake, which I did by 1/3. So, just as a comment to all you "mature" people, your kidneys will love you more if you take in less protein than the directions recommend, even if you're working out hard (which I am). April 17th, 2012 update: Received my second bag last week. The flavor is not the same as the first. Not anywhere near as much banana flavor. Tastes a little "flat" Code on the bag is AO88364IJ. I'm guessing that's the lot number. Expiration date is 12/13. We'll see what the next bag is like.

Good stuff but overly large portions
Good stuff that works well and tastes good. The only downside is the huge portion of powder required per shake. Don't plan on eating anything within 3-5 hours of this shake.

Gained 7 lbs in One Month
I am a 19 year old male going on 20 and am trying to gain weight and get stronger because I plan on joining the Marine Corps within a year. I started working out between 3-5 times a week doing squats, barbell curls, and benching among other things. I bought a bag of the banana flavored weight gain powder and drink it every time I work out and sometimes on off days. I use blend one scoop of the powder with 2 cups of milk and a banana. It comes to around 1000-1200 calories per drink. After only a month I had gained 7 lbs. and drastically increased my strength. I feel great and think that I look great too. My goal is to gain twenty pounds, I started out at 145 lbs and now weigh 152. My goal is to get to 165 lbs. The stuff is a chore to drink but that's how every work out powder is. I just ordered my second bag, this time I am trying the Chocolate Peanut Butter! Update to review (Forgive me for repetition or discrepancies between reviews) I have seen real results using this weight gain powder. I am training to be a Marine and I initially did not weigh enough. I am 6’2 and weighed 145 lbs. when I started working out and making these shakes. 148 lbs. is the minimum weight for my height. I set a goal to gain twenty lbs. and I reached 160 lbs. after three months. I stopped working out and drinking shakes for a while and I returned to my initial weight. I then started working out and with the shakes was able to get my weight back to 160 after about a month. I do all kinds of different workouts: running, rucking, I have back/leg day, and a chest/arm day. Core everyday and I try to workout 5 days a week, all very high intensity. I try to eat three meals a day, I’m not the healthiest eater in the world but calories are what matter when you are doing this kind of training. The MARSOC app says this blatantly, “Ideally you should eat healthy but eat anything and everything you can to get as many calories as possible. Big Macs are my best friend, each one is 500 calories. After every workout I drink a shake, what I do is I blend two cups of whole milk with one level scoop of powder, a banana, and recently I’ve started adding a teaspoon of Creatine to the shake. It ends up being about 1,200-1400 calories. I try to get between 500-1200 calories per meal. Add the shakes calories to the calories from breakfast, lunch, and dinner and you could be getting upwards of 3,000 calories in a day which is what is necessary for me to gain one lb. a week.

Great tasting product!
Wow, I was surprised at how good the product tasted. It was lower priced that other products so I was kinda wondering. What an excellent choice!! I’ll be getting more 😊😊

Banana flavor: taste is absolutely AWFUL
I've used the chocolate flavor of this product for the past several weeks and it didn't taste good but it was doable. It helped me gain about 10 lbs which is great. I had to just chug it quickly because of the taste but it wasn't THAT bad. After I ran out of my chocolate serious mass, I decided to buy this banana flavor because it was ~$10 cheaper. You get what you pay for, it turns out that saved $10 made a bad tasting product COMPLETELY UNDRINKABLE. It is an extremely sweet artificial banana flavor that I cannot drink with water or milk without gagging. I am so disappointed in this product. I would much prefer a more bland flavor over this insanely sweet and synthetic flavor. Do not buy the banana flavor! It's miserable! EDIT: Let me re-iterate: This product will help you gain muscle mass quickly, it works as advertised (I used the chocolate version previously). I am rating it so low based on taste alone because I can't even consume the product because it tastes so terrible.
