Light weight but holds firm even at the beach
Let me tell you we anchor at the beach in the south east on the Atlantic. It can get rough , but this anchor holds firm!!. Amazing how good this anchor works! Light weight but holds great in a sandy bottom or gummy muddy bottom. Highly recommend this anchor. Worth every penny!! 5 stars plus!!!

Perfect alternative to Sea-Doo Switch Anchor Kit
I have a 21โ Sea-Doo Switch Pontoon. The Sea-Doo version of this style anchor is $280, which is insane. I bought this anchor as an alternative and have loved it. Iโm currently on a 6000 mile trek around the Great Loop and have used this anchor daily for 2 weeks now in a variety of bottom and weather conditions. Assembly: pretty straightforward and easy. The parts do move around in 3 dimensions so take your time lining them up. The one part I was a little iffy on was the very small screw that holds the cross rod in place. I was worried about it being sufficiently robust and also working its way loose. I used Loctite to secure it and so far no issues. Design: I really like the way the main shaft slides up into the housing for compact storage. The serrated edges of the anchor itself are also nice and seem to be effective. Quality: production quality is pretty good. They warn you about possible sharp edges but mine had none. Effectiveness: The anchor is deliberately light weight - I think 5 lbs vs the 8 lb Sea-Doo version. I added 8โ of 316 stainless chain (4โ each of 5/16 and 1/4) and 150โ of 3/8โ nylon anchor rope. Using this setup, I have held in 20 knot winds thus far. Issues: the only issue I have had is that due to the sliding shaft design, you have to make sure you clean out any mud or other debris. I didnโt do this once and the anchor did not properly deploy and started to drag. It was an easy fix - just stand on the cross bar and yank on the chain to pop free. Very pleased with this purchase. You can buy chain and rope cheap, so the all-in cost is much less than a Sea-Doo version. I would recommend this to anyone looking for an anchor for their Switch or for any PWC or lightweight boat.

Best Anchor by far!
This is the best anchor I have ever owned! Itโs very lightweight, it retracts and extends, digs into the sand wonderfully. I have two boats. They hold the boats very well. I purchased four of them and I could not be happier! Very easy to put together. I recommend this anchor it is awesome!

Anchors boat in 8 knot winds!
Excellent anchor in sand. 5000lb boat, 8 knot wind, held amazing. Very lightweight and stores in anchor locker well. We have several sand shark products of the same material type and they hold up well for our boating needs especially on sandbars.

Light weight anchor
Anchor looks great and is light weight just doesn't work well. It is simple to install and use with a small size and cost, just does not dig in well at all. It is small enough to handle and a decent value for your money and durable if you are using a skiff or a John boat..

Dont Waste Your Money...Design Flaw!
Owned and used this anchor for 1 year and it did work good and I liked the retractable shank! Worked well. HOWEVER, the boating season is over where I live and I was just doing some anchor inspection and maintenance and to my surprise found that the roll pill was about to fall out. This is not good because if you understand how this anchor works its absolutely imperative that the roll pin does not fail. My roll pin was loose in the hole and if it had fallen out we would lost the lower end of the anchor and be drifting....this is a design flaw 100%. I thought I would just replace the roll pin with a small stainless steel bolt BUT the head and the nut creates issues with the flukes of the anchor actually being able to function and flop from side to side...a no go!!!! I am really disappointed in this anchor and IF YOU HAVE ONE OF THESE I WOULD SUGGEST YOU INSPECT THE ROLL PIN BEFORE ITS TO LATE! THIS IS A BOATING SAFETY ISSUE! Going back to my high performance aluminum Fortress! I would like a refund BUT I bet the Mfg will ignore this serious safety review!!!??? And one last point, file off the shape edges, this anchor will cut you and beat up your anchor locker...a simple manufacturing detail...dam! Im about to design and build my own anchor and do it right!

Great anchor
Great boat anchor. Looks nice with the anodized aluminum. I was worried it wouldn't hole my 19' boat because it is so light weight, but it works great. For my situation, I needed two anchors, but in most applications one should work just fine. I would recommend this product to other boaters.
