Zen Ginseng American Wisconsin Ginseng Small Long Root, 4 Oz Bag

Arrived in good shape as promised. Made the tea in my instant pot and it was good. Didn't seem to give me any extra energy as folk medicine promises, but that's ok. Now I can say I had real ginseng tea.

I bought this to use in my fire cider and it worked out so great. They don't have a strong smell. The pieces are a bit hard and will need to soak to get softer. You get a ton for the price, so it's well worth it, and they are made in the US!!

Much cooler than Red or Korean Panax but just as effective so far. My one gripe is the hardness of this root. Will break your teeth if you are not careful. (I eat right out of the bag) They soften up in your mouth and eventually can be chewed. Mostly I think these are more appropriate for cooking. The taste is an acquired one much like cloves. The smooth energy and stamina are there like all ginseng's.

The product provides me with enough energy to sustain throughout my day. Next time I will probably try the powder because it will be more easier to prepare tea.

I use this to make Korean soup and it comes out super yummy with the red dates. It tastes just like it does at the restaurant.

I been chewing and sucking on ginseng root since the 1980`s, I haven't chewed on a ginseng stick in probably 15 years, saw these on amazon and thought I would try it out. Ginseng always has a little bit of a sweet bitter flavor to it, which I'm used to. The last Ginseng root I chewed/sucked on was grown 12 years and it was a Red Panax Korean ginseng root in a glass vitamin bottle, I paid 7 dollars for it.( for the cheap price, it was 15 years ago,) It was about 1/2 inch round 1 1/2 inches long, solid, heavy and hard as a rock and took me 1 week just to naw it half way. 1 stick used to last me about 2 weeks. Compared to that ginseng, this is like a soft wood root that is chewed and done about an hour. It has excellent flavor taste, not to bitter and the sweet taste lingers in your mouth for hours. Reason for the loss of a star is because of the soft wood root, it should be a hard root, not soft. I also noticed while sucking on the root to soften it, it seemed like i was sucking air through it like a straw, on further looking at the root i noticed the center almost looked fibrous. Not sure what that means. Oh well, wish you luck if you decide to purchase this.
