Seal jar and shake, then let steep for an additional 36 hours.3Strain out solids through a strainer lined with cheesecloth, then strain through cheese cloth again into desired bottle. Store at room temperature for up to one year.

I found out that a few juniper berries added a lovely extra flavour to my casseroles and even to some curries; the supermarket little screw-top jars were being emptied rather quickly, but this pack of Spanish berries will keep me going for a year at a fraction of the cost. Remember to keep any empty jars so you can decant these for easy use; better, too, to stick the bulk of them into a large airtight container for main storage to keep them dry and fresh.Delivery was very quick. For about three times the price of a tiny pot of Cumin, this is a whole kilo, which, in Cumin terms, comes to be about the size of a small loaf of bread. Because these are whole seeds, they will store well if kept in a cool, dry place.Great if you do a lot of Moroccan or Indian cooking. Rather a lot for just a one off.

I ordered the cloves for school as we were making orange and clove pomanders as part of a history topic. The bag was excellent value and provided enough cloves for the whole class to make a pomander each. The cloves were a good quality.
