Used this product to give a layer of protection over acrylic paints and wood. Very easy to apply, a very thin amount goes such a long way. I would say that the drying time was overnight. Great value for money. Does the job.

Absolutely brilliant

Lovely gloss finish , beware though and hold the painting to the light to check that the whole canvas is covered, I’ve found this out the hard way 🫣 I use two coats as I put this on evenly but also liberally. I love when the sun hits my paintings and make them shimmer. I have also purchased the flat hand brush available by liquidatex as I find this doesn’t shed . This is really quick drying too , so I waited approximately 3 hrs before second coat. Hope this helps

I bought this product to varnish painted stones. It's a bit expensive for the size of the bottle but it does produce a lovely glossy finish. The instructions suggest three hours of drying time between coats. I suggest a bit longer if you are varnishing a two sided item as the varnish can feel dry to the touch but still be soft and can be damaged whilst that second side is drying.

I bought this for my art projects and used it for the first time the other week. I hardly used any of the varnish to cover the painting I made and after 3 coats the painting looks amazing. It’s only a small bottle but if I’m careful it will last a couple of months. Well worth the money to protect the art you take so much time to make. Easy to apply and I don’t recall any strong odours coming from the varnish either.

I have been using Liquitex for a few months now following other reviews and like those I am impressed with the results. I have used a well known, slightly cheaper product before, but this is much better, plus a little goes a long way. It has been used on card, chipboard but mainly on stone. Leaves a great finish and is to present durable, some of the stones I have painted have been outdoors in all weathers. Would highly recommend.

Die Firnis ist für mich eine hervorragende Ergänzung für Acrylbilder. Der Firnis lässt sich leicht und gleichmäßig auftragen und verleiht den Farben nach dem Trocknen eine wunderschöne, satte Leuchtkraft. Besonders dunkle und kräftige Farbtöne gewinnen sichtbar an Tiefe und Brillanz. Ich war positiv überrascht, wie klar der Firnis auftrocknet. Es entstehen keine störenden Trübungen oder Verfärbungen, sodass das Kunstwerk genau so wirkt, wie es gedacht war, nur noch lebendiger. Gleichzeitig sorgt der Firnis für eine schützende Oberfläche, die das Bild vor Staub, Schmutz und alltäglichen Belastungen bewahrt.

Covers nicely, dries perfectly. I use this to protect all of my acrylic paintings and have never had an issue with clouding or bubbles. Works like a dream.
