Splash About UV Floatsuit

At first I was alittle skeptical of how well my child would be able to hold up out of the water. She is 3, 37 pounds and I ordered the size 4-6 years old. It fit great and my daughter loved it right out of the package. Today we went to the pool and she was so excited that she could swim all by herself without mommy. It gave her ao much confidence. She didn't want to get out or leave when it was time to go.

My daughter is 2 years old and I purchased the 2-4T and it fits her with room to spare. The back has a sturdy zipper. I throw it in the washer and I just let it air dry. I havent had issues with anything falling apart or moving out of place. She is confident in the pool and jumps in. She can easily stay a float and maneuver her way to the side of the pool. Someone is always with her while she is in the pool anyways so we are not fearful of her flipping over. I'm always asked where I got this swimsuit and I direct them to Amazon. I love that she gets additional sun protection on top of using sunblock especially on her shoulders and legs as she is fairly light skinned.

We love this suit. It has really boosted confidence and independence in our 2 year old!

I'm really surprised these swimsuits are not more popular... I will never use swimmies or a life vest again!! My daughter knows she cannot go in the water without her swimsuit, and she started the summer with all the floatation devices and now she is down to only 2 in the front and 2 in the back. I love how you can take out the pieces as they learn how to swim!! Each section has 2 half styrophoam pieces that can be taken out as needed. I also recommend this style, because it provides good sun protection (less sunscreen) and the traditional bikini style can cause a rash by the groin area. Overall love this bathing suit.

Fell apart right after I tried it on my 1 year old. Right at the seem near the zipper. Only one like of thread held that whole part together. For the price, if I didn't need something for my baby so soon, I'd return this product for a full refund. So dissapointed.Edit to add: Did some rudimentary sewing repairs and found that part of it wasl never attached to the zipper in the first place.

We love these suits! They have been around forever so I fully trust the safety. I learned how to swim at 4 with this style suit in the 80s and Both my kids have now used them. They are fantastic! My daughter learned to swim with this suit at age 4 and my son is currently swimming on his own at age 3. He still uses his suit with only 2 floats when we’re playing in the pool because he doesn’t have the stamina yet. But I highly recommend these! The uv protection is a huge plus!! No more worries about them falling in the pool without floaters. My only complaint about this one is that it’s a little hard to get on especially when it’s wet. A zipper in back might be better.

we bought this for our vacation in mexico. on our first day by the pool i put this suit on my son (3yr old) and started to splash around. our pool has a wading pool area connected to the adult (deeper) side and my son mostly wanted to stay in the shallow area so he could walk around. i was in the pool the entire time with him and only a few feet away. at some point, while in the shallow part of the pool, my son lost his footing and fell forward face first into the water. i saw him starting to struggle to get upright again. the floatation device, which is positioned at his waist, actually held his mid-section up above water. which meant his head was forced under water. he as essentially face down and horizontal with the surface of the water. i started to make my way over to him as his arms started to flail frantically. he couldn't get upright no matter how hard he tried. while he was only a few feet away, it felt like hours before i could get to him and pull him up for air. it was absolutely terrifying. he was probably under water for 3-4 seconds before i could get to him. but it's safe to say, if i was not paying attention or in the pool with him, it would have been a worse situation. we've been talking about the incident (my son and I), and he's afraid to go back into the pool. i'm going to give it a little while until we try to swim again. PARENTS, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT.

My 1 1/2 year old son slipped into the pool and kept him from sinking to the bottom! Before you judge me, I was over top of him and it happens in a split second he missed his footing and just fell into the deep end of the pool. He was in the water for only 3 seconds before I grabbed him out as fast as I could but if he wasn’t wearing this suit he would have fell to the bottom. Obviously you can’t let your son just swim on his own in this suit but it just gives you a few extra seconds to react

This suit has really helped our 2 year old learn to swim and become completely confident in the water. It tooks me ages to decide what to get but we've been really pleased with this. After only a couple of sessions she was able to confidently float around on her own which is so much better than clinging on to us! Being able to remove the floats is a really clever design and as she progresses we have been removing more and more. Top-tip: remove the front floats because they actually cause the toddler to be unstable in the water, but you can experiment and find your own way.

Really love this. It was a fantastic idea. You can use with or without the padding things.

Great product to give the little ones confidence. I found arm bands also important to start with.A little disappointed that the seam is coming a part on the zip at the bottom as he’s only used it a dozen times.

Indispensable on holiday with our 3 year old. Gives her confidence in the water, as well as complete peace of mind for her parents! Tried many variations on this theme over the years for our now elder children, and this one is by miles the best.

Great swimsuit. I took all the foams out at the front so my daughter can swim in it, rather than just float around.Only issue is because of the floats it’s quite tricky to get on and off. Child has to stand up, that’s all.
