I see that my review from last year was included and it was very genuinely meant and I look forward to this frankly since last year and it arrived today hard as a rock clearly not fresh and for $16 it was just inappropriate. I feel like I should be given a fresh product or my money back I’m not a wealthy person and that was $16 and change out of $50 that my little brother who’s not wealthy either gave me as a Christmas present so I love Andy and Ann‘s work when it’s at its best and I’ve mentioned his products to many people so please read this and really respond to me. I’m very very loyal member of your Prime family. (I’ve reposted or allowed to you to repost from last year my review which sadly does not stand this year.) I grew up loving Italian torrone, and, because I really love orange zest, combined with wildflower honey and fresh roasted almonds , this turrón has already become my favorite after one small taste! I will buy this again, and share with friends and family. Thank you, Andy Anand, for such a fine quality confection!

I used to eat this when I was a kid but haven't been able to find it anywhere since. We used to get it at a pizzeria that only had Sicilian pizza and this candy. I was thrilled to see it on Amazon. It is very sweet and sticky but it is so worth it. Plenty of nuts. I will definitely buy again.

I first tried the pistachio variety, and it was good. So, I next tried the orange, and it was not good. The orange flavor was nice, the the nougat was much stiffer and tasted of rancid nuts. Negative stars.

I had this item in my cart and, I accidentally purchased it before really looking into it. This review is based off of my experience which seems to be much better than some others, their reviews indicate a quality control issue. I have never purchased from this company nor have I ever had this flavor of candy before so I had no preconceived expectations. See pictures for better visual of my descriptions. The candy slice was packed in a box and the slice itself was in a cellophane bag. It is 200g and about 7”x2”x.75” , light tan color, not excessively soft or hard. Like most true nougats it had a firm, smooth texture that softens from the warmth of your mouth as you chew it. There is rice paper on the bottom of the slice and until I realized what it was, I was very upset I could not peel it off. For me, the orange flavor was lacking, I tasted the sweetness first, then the honey flavor came out, followed by almond, then the slight orange essence. It is made in small batches with just a few simple ingredients and reminds me of the little candy shops you would find in quaint downtown areas, coastal shops, or open markets. If I had read the reviews, I probably wouldn’t have ordered it and I would have missed out on a nice treat.

The received product did not look like the picture. The fruit was not mixed in but put on top mostly on the middle. I was looking forward to a nougat that was a little sweeter with fruit mixed in along with the almonds. This nougat was not sweet at all. It was hard to tell from the pictures the size/amount to be received in the package. The nougat comes in a rectangular shape about 2 inch x 2 inch x 6-7 inch. This is a bit expensive for such a small amount.

The box is very beautifully attractive but what's in it would be rejected by the receiver of such a gift. Disappointed that there's no orange peel in this nougat. No orange flavor at all in this. The nuts are crunchy but not fresh roasted. So the almond oils taste off and are unfresh. Raw nuts oils can spoil before roasting. Do not roast spoiled oils almond nuts.

Delicious and chewy. Great taste, not too sweet and nice orange essence. Exactly what I was wanting! Will buy again.

Expensive, but worth every penny if you are looking for a delicious torrone. If a fiend or family member asked me where to get a nice torrone, I would absolutely recommend. I have actually proactively told people about it now that I think about it. I said "Bro have you ever heard of torrone? It's super good and it was about 7 bucks for a king size sized bar. Do yourself a favor bro." Really though, it is visually appealing and just writing this review made me decide to order a box when I get home. It would make the perfect gift for someone who likes candy or even just for someone you care about or Christmas present.
