Works right out of the box.
Really useful item when you need it. No complaints. It takes a few minutes to understand the controls, but that's really all. It might have helped if I looked at the instructions. If you're looking at this converter, you already know what it does.

Update to previous review
I bought this item about 18 months ago and it worked great. After almost constant use as a DIY lab power supply, some of the segments in the LCD display quit working. Although you need at least five hands to disassemble the unit, I finally got it apart, removed the LCD display and cleaned the zebra connector and PCB connector with 99% IPA. I reassembled the unit, and it works flawlessly. Looking closely at the PCB design and overall assembly, this is a high quality product. If it ever dies, I will get another one from the same supplier.

Very versatile tool to have!
I didn't know how much I would use this until I got one! This thing is awesome for the test bench. I use it any time I need to test battery powered electronics for malfunctions due to current and voltage fluctuations. Easy to adjust the variables to pinpoint the exact fail point. Readout is straight forward and easy to read. Wiring is simple.

Love it ! Just one little thing
The media could not be loaded. I want 2 b able to calibrate this thing and so far I haven't found a way. I mean it reads down to one hundreths of a volt but the unit I got isnt accurate to at a tenth volt. A matter of fact its about 2 tenths volt off, maybe even .25 volt off. I dont like that. Othe Drok units like this u can calibrate and rotate the display etc etc. Calibration is a fundamental necessity.

Works Great both CV and CC Mode
I am very happy with it. You can set it up in the CC mode where the voltage would drop when the current limit was maxed out - great for short circuit hunting or battery charging. The only critique I have is that it is a bit sluggish but so far it hasn’t been problem for me.

This is the first DROK branded electronic item I've been disappointed with
My example came with the LCD only half functioning. Part of the segments were very faint and faded. I'm sure I could have returned it, but given effort and the price I decided to try to fix it instead. I disassembled it and removed the LCD display and pulled the the "zebra connector" off the PCB. After that I cleaned the PCB with alcohol and reassembled. It now works as it should. These converters are offered by multiple manufacturers. Usually the DROK branded electronics are slightly more expensive, but with better quality control. That wasn't the case here. Otherwise this works as intended.
