I have been using this file since it first came out, when they were only selling it by kiosk at the Mall of America. I love that it is so fine. You just don't get that from any other file. The only ones that come close are glass files, but I have found that those do wear out. This one never does. I had my first one for over 20 years! The only reason I got another one was because it was dropped and broke, so the pieces were too small to be helpful. But with 20 years' worth of use out of the first one, I had no issues with buying another one. The very fine nature of this file really helps to seal the cracks and peeling of nails, so that it doesn't continue to happen. Worth every penny and then some.

I had either tips or gels on my nails for probably 30 years and so when Covid hit and salons were closed, I was in deep trouble. LOL My nails were extremely weak and were chipping, cracking, breaking....you name it and they were doing it. Using this file every day in conjunction with a couple of other things has made my nails grow strong and LONG! I never thought I'd see the day when I had to file my nails down because they'd gotten too long. The other things I've been using are Phyto nail vitamins, oil - IBD Reconstrux oil alternated with Jason Tea Tree Oil and Ella&Mia First Aid Kiss as a clear top coat. I have literally tried EVERYTHING else on the market and this combo is the only thing that has worked. The key to this file is that it seals the edge of the nail so that there are no weaknesses. I haven't gotten a snag or a chip or a break in about 2 months. I have one at work, one at home and one in my purse. LOL

For the first time in my life my nails are healthy and growing. I live in Colorado and it is VERY dry in the winter. My nails would only grow when I would go somewhere humid for vacation. Well, it is winter and super dry but as soon as I started using the ZEVA products - file, cuticle oil, nail guard and nail bright I have not had a single chip or snag, nails are growing and even, and my cuticles are perfect! Wow! Even when I could get my nails to grow they would constantly get those little snags on the edges, and boom, no more nails. I can tell the file is amazing on it's own, very unique and fine, and I understand the concept of it sealing the fine cracks. I also use the nail guard and then the nail bright over that, once a week. I use the file for the recommended few seconds every day on each nail. Works great with polish on and does not wreck it at all. My nails are longer, even, and smooth. And I am hard on my hands and nails. I am so excited to have pretty natural nails for the first time in my life! (I am 51.) I wish I had known about this years ago. I keep admiring them I am so happy. Oh, and the nail bright makes them so pretty too! First pic is day one, second pic is a week later.UPDATE: I LOVED this file and had two, I needed a new one and it just arrived. It is NOTHING like the original, super thin, white, feels cheap and flimsy. New Picture showing the difference -- original is gray and new version is white. Super disappointed.

I was looking to buy a second diamancel nail file (that's great too, with its very thin profile, light flexible metal and infinitely lasting and reusable quality - only drawback is the small border without the filing surface which makes it hard to get to the tight spots on corners of your nails), and I came across this product which intrigued me, so I ordered it to try.When I first saw it, I was surprised at how thick it was, so I won't be carrying it around in my handbag. But, once I'd gotten used to its unique texture I am getting to like it very much! Especially its description of how it's made with a superheated porcelain compound with aluminum oxide (Austrian crystal) suspended in the porcelain in crystalline form, then ground by hand until very smooth, and how it helps to progressively repair your nails and make them stronger and smoother with continued use. I am especially delighted with its extra function of being able to smooth out cuticles and rough skin with its tip, like an eraser - a skin eraser, if you like!Now I wish I could get a nail file that combines the best of the Diamancel file (superthin metal, lasts forever, looks cool, easy to slip into handbag) and the Zeva Austrian Crystal Nail File (cool material, healing for nails, great for cuticle erasing) - so the ultimate nail file would be superthin, lasts forever, looks cool with unique material, and has a filing surface right to the edges (ie no blank surface on the edge which makes it a pain to file in tight corners - this is the major drawback of the diamancel).

Ok. Let me begin by saying this wasn’t what I was looking for. I was looking for a quality nail file for natural nails because I noticed my own had begun to peel and weaken. When I received this I didn’t read the full page of directions and began to file and shape my nails. It was just like running your nails on a chalk board; the hair on my arms stood up! The file is thick and not flexible. It’s like a piece of unpolished marble or slate tile. Then I read the directions and this file is to used AFTER you shape and file your nails. It’s just a “finisher” NOT a file. You use it quickly to “seal” the ends of your nails —- in time making them less porous and stronger.I just got it so have no idea if it will work but I’ll provide an update in a few weeks.Expensive “finisher” ....
