NOT 100% human hair but it works for blowdry and hot curling.
This is not 100% human hair it contains synthetic hair as the texture of the hair changed to a very coarse texture after blow-drying which real hair should not do, as I was using heat protector spray and didn't hold the hairdryer on the hair for any longer than necessary. However there is enough human hair in this doll head to use it for blowdrying and the synthetic hair is of a good enough quality that I have used a hot iron curler on this doll head without any issues. Use heat protector spray at all times if blow drying or hot curling. I would guess probably 80% or 70% human hair but I really have no idea.

!NOT HUMAN HAIR!
Absolutely disappointed it's horrible plastic not even a speck of human hair along the top there's hair sticking up like it's been cut can even parten it all the way down a spriral patch is blocking ot hair falls out in clumps horrible purchase. Stand isn't that great, while the products it comes with weren't even fully there. Disappointed.

Good quality hair
My daughter loves this mannequin head. She's had something similar before but with fake hair and already after a few days it's noticeable that the real hair is much better to style and doesn't get matted like fake hair does. The head is an ideal size. Not too dissimilar to that of a 7/8 year old girl but looks small because the face looks like it is from an adult. The face is pretty and well painted. The hair is quite coarse I would say but that makes it good to style with because thin hair is really slippy. It comes with a lot of accessories but they are very cheaply made and not good quality. The clamp is quite weak and has a plastic thread which works ok but metal would have been better. It would have been better if you could rotate the head 360 degrees whilst on the clamp. Instead you have to take it off and put it back on in a different orientation. It does keep it held in place fairly well through.Unfortunately quite a bit of hair has already come out through brushing. I'm not sure if this is to be expected but I guess it happens with humans so realistic! It's not showing any signs of thinning out yet anyway. My daughter has thoroughly enjoyed playing with this and sees herself as a budding hairstylist so she's been able to practice lots. For the price I think it's about right.

Amazing for my 4 year old
Yes i know it sounds overkill for a toddler, but she likes playing with hair so much - and as a man in his 40's and bald she doesn't really have much to comb or put in bobbles, and there is only so much i can take having my beard combed.Great with or without the table clamp, it is easier brushing the hair for my 4 year old on the clamp as she needs 2 hands to work the hair brush to be honest. I have to say the clam is probably the area this could do with improving, it can be overtightened and doesn't get as tight as i'd like, but i'm not sure if they were going for safety rather than customer claims the clamp squashed their antique table when it was tightened too much - if that makes sense. So i haven't marked it down for this, i know its not a woodworking clamp and it generally holds pretty well. Can get quite creepy when she takes the head off the table clamp and just surprises me with it when walking around the house with it under her arm. Its a bit horror movie but she likes it and calls it her friend, which i think is a nice thing. This does feel like real hair, a middle thickness and texture i think and not fine hair thats just going to come out after every brush. Sure on the first few uses we did get a few stragglers come out but its been fine since.Just as a note on the review as its been used by a 4 year old other than slightly warm hair drying, we haven't tested this with rollers/straighteners/curling tongs etc. as sadly the only thing i have to use them on is a beard and it hardly needs straightener or drying if i'm honest.

Poor quality
It didn't arrive with any of the tools listed as part of the order and the table clamp has already broken despite only being used twice

Great Starter Mannequin for Beginner Stylists and Practice
I received this mannequin head as part of the Amazon Vine program, so I’m sharing my honest thoughts after trying it out. First off: if you’re looking for something to practice styling on and don’t want to spend a fortune, this is honestly a fantastic choice. The listing says it’s 80% human hair, but just from touching and working with the head, I’d say the hair definitely feels more synthetic—so don’t expect it to feel exactly like a real person’s head. Even so, the hair is thick, there’s plenty of it, and it behaves well when you’re practicing cuts, braids, or simple updos. The color is a pretty, light brown and the length is generous (about 26–28 inches, as advertised), so you have lots of room to practice. I also liked that it comes as a complete set: you get the head, a sturdy table clamp, and some basic styling tools. It’s everything you need to just unbox and start practicing.Washing and styling the hair is easy enough—the strands didn’t shed much and I didn’t notice any weird odors, which is a definite win. Heat styling worked but you can tell this isn’t pure human hair; it’s best to use gentle heat for short periods and not expect miracles with curling irons or straighteners. For someone just starting cosmetology school or thinking about a career in hair, I think this is a perfect, affordable way to get comfortable with the basics. And honestly, if you just want something for fun at home or for a younger kid to play pretend hairdresser, this would work, too. It might not rival the high-end, pro-grade mannequins stylist schools sometimes provide, but for the price and what you get, I was impressed.Five stars for quality at this price and for being a super practical first step for anyone learning to work with hair!

Pretty neat!
What a cool mannequin head. Wasn't sure what to expect when my 12 year old niece got it for Christmas. What a fun way to practice hair styles and learn hair techniques. The hair is pretty long maybe 16"+. Have yet to try any heat tools on it, but did use some accessories that came with it. Would be nice if there was a list of all the accessories, was unsure of what some of them were for. It attached to the bar counter nicely and the head is able to swivel and tilt. What a fun way to learn hair! Highly recommend from what I've seen so far!

A Training Mannequin With Thick Hair and Accessories for Real Practice Sessions
I ordered this Mannequin Head with 100% 18 inch Human Hair, Cosmetology Mannequin Head Wig Stand Hair Styling Hairdressing Practice Training Doll Heads with Clamp Holder and Tools as part of the Amazon Vine review program, and here are my honest and unbiased thoughts after trying it.The Content of the Box:Inside the box, I found the mannequin head with reddish‑brown human hair, a table clamp, and a small bundle of ten styling tools. The head itself has a realistic face and weighs around 0.78 kilograms, which gives it enough heft to stay steady once mounted. The hair is listed as 100 percent human hair with a density of about 180 percent, and the strands measure roughly 18 inches long. The clamp is made of plastic with a screw mechanism for tightening onto a table or counter. The tools include clips, combs and sectioning pieces that are handy for practicing different techniques. The Setup:I set this mannequin up on my craft table because I wanted to practice a few braiding patterns I had been meaning to learn. The clamp attaches by tightening the screw until it grips the edge of the table. It took a little adjusting to get it stable, but once tightened properly, it held the head securely. I placed the mannequin onto the clamp post and tilted it slightly forward to mimic a natural styling angle. Before starting, I brushed the hair gently to remove loose strands. There was some initial shedding, which is normal for training heads, but it settled down after the first few passes. The hair felt thick enough to work with and long enough to practice braids, curls and sectioning. The Testing:I used this mannequin head over several days to test different styling techniques. Here is what stood out:-Hair Quality: The hair feels like real hair and behaves like it when brushing, washing and heat styling. It is not silky smooth, but it has a natural texture that holds braids and curls well.-Heat Tolerance: I used a curling iron at a moderate temperature and the hair handled it without melting or sticking. It curled best when held for short intervals.-Density: The hair is full enough for most practice styles. It is not as dense as a real head of hair, but it is thick enough to create updos, braids and layered cuts.-Length: The 18‑inch strands give plenty of room for practicing long styles. I was able to do French braids, fishtails and rope twists without running out of length.-Shedding: The first brushing session produced a noticeable amount of shedding, but it decreased after that.-Clamp Stability: The clamp works, but it is plastic, so it needs to be tightened firmly. It stayed in place for most of my styling, though I had to re‑tighten it once when I was pulling hard during a braid.-Accessories: The included tools are basic but useful. The clips held sections well and the combs were fine for parting and smoothing.-Face and Head Shape: The head shape is realistic enough for makeup practice, and the tilt range helps position it for different angles.Who It’s Good For:- Cosmetology students who need a reliable practice head- Hobbyists learning braids, curls or basic cutting- Parents who want a styling head for kids to play with- Anyone who wants to practice heat styling without risking their own hair- Beginners who want a full kit with tools includedWho It’s Less Ideal For:- Users who expect extremely silky or high‑grade salon hair- People who need a very dense mannequin for advanced volume‑heavy styles- Those who want a metal clamp instead of plastic- Anyone sensitive to initial sheddingThe Conclusion:This mannequin head is a practical training tool for anyone learning or refining hair techniques. The hair behaves realistically, the length is generous and the included clamp and tools make it a complete starter kit. Overall, the mannequin performed well for cutting, braiding and heat styling practice. It is not perfect, but it offers good value and enough quality to support real practice sessions. If you want a mannequin head that offers realistic practice at a reasonable price, this one is a dependable and useful choice for both learning and experimenting.
