Manic Panic Classic Semi-Permanent Hair Dye - Rockabilly Blue

First time using this particular fashion colour, I've had pinks, purples and red before but I love this colour!I applied over a level 8 pre-lightened hair to ensure porosity ready for this dye. My hair still had red/orange tones in it so wasn't sure how this would turn out but the colour is very pigmented and has turned out perfect for what I wanted, not too dark or too light. The colour does transfer, especially when wet but I expected this with it being a semi-permanent colour.Washing with cold water only, once or twice a week, I expect some fade but it's not been too bad. The first picture is after first applying (pigtail buns), and the second is after one wash. Also one tub does two rounds of dye but I'm not doing a full head application so this will vary for others.

I really love the effect of this blue dye—extra points for being vegan! In this case, less is definitely more. It’s best to apply the dye using a comb, just on the hair, to avoid staining. The colour stays on the skin for about a week, and on fabric forever, so be careful with your clothes—my white pillow with a red pattern is now mostly blue!For the next 4 weeks, don’t be surprised if the water turns blue in the shower. Avoid wearing white or very light shirts or tops for 6–8 weeks if you want them to stay that way.I absolutely love my new hair colour, but fair warning—I had to bleach my hair myself to get this result.I’ll definitely order again! For my short hair, I’ve reapplied it 4 times from this little container (every 4–6 weeks), and it looks like there's still enough left for 1 or 2 more applications.

I’ve been trying to find a bright pink to actually do the job for my hair I’ve used live xxl I’ve used crazy colour but manic panic have beaten that and does the job it says I’m happy with the colour brightness of this you don’t use one tub either I used half a tub and got longish thick hair as well was worth the price

The used the orange on already orange hair too brighten it back up and it turned my half my head yellow in random spots, 3 rounds of dye with the orange and my hair is still splotchy yellow never been so disappointed in manic panic

I’ve included pictures of my hair before and after the dye because I wasn’t sure how well it would work on my colour hair when I used it. It’s important to note that I bleached my hair light blonde earlier in the year to dye it pink and so the light brown colour was over that and my roots were my natural hair.Dyes last a lot longer in chemically treated hair, so it’s been 3 weeks now and the majority of my hair has only gone from dark blue to a nice teal colour whilst the natural roots faded back to more of a dark brown colour. It still looks good though in my opinion. If you want a true blue, this might not be the best because it has always had at least a hint of green tones from the beginning.The main downside of this dye was getting blue stains on things but I had already read the reviews and was prepared so it wasn’t too bad. I didn’t rinse my hair until the water was clear when I first dyed it because it was taking so long that it didn’t seem like it would start to run clear, but then even once it was dry, it would stain anything it touched. I also had to clean my bath with nail varnish remover to get the blue residue off. I managed the staining by sleeping with a towel on my pillow and only wearing dark clothes at first. Once I’d washed my hair a few times it stopped staining things so easily. Seeing as how long it’s lasting in my hair, I wish I would’ve just washed it a few times straight away to make life easier!Also, whilst this isn’t a permanent dye, green/blue tone dyes tend to hang around in your hair for a very long time and will probably not completely fade. I already knew this but in case anyone doesn’t know, keep it in mind.

Awesome dye, stayed in for way longer than ancitipated though. But it really did colour my hair beautifully and just as I intended. It is super bright at first though. I would say if you have dark hair, bleach it, I’ve used this mutiple times now and started it with ginger hair. As my natural colour is dark brown. And ginger - this colour works wonderfully. Would reccomend if your looking for vibrant pink hair!

Amazing colors, covered up grey in a heartbeat, did the patch test and no reaction, fast forward to putting it in my hair and now I'm on antihistamines and steroids.(Unfortunately I'm allergic to hair dye and thought this was my answer)My advice is to wait 72 hoursafter patch test before putting the product in your hair, be prepared this is a thick substance and can get extremely messy.

Came so quick and always love these colors, they stay in much longer for me thank you 😊
