Big Boi - Vicious Lies & Dangerous Rumors [Deluxe Edition][Explicit] - desertcart.com Music

Review: excellent second solo album - I'm a big time Outkast fan and I have all their albums. Enjoyed Sir Lucious Left Foot that came out a year or two ago. This album is awesome! Big Boi goes in a new direction on several tracks this album while still catering to long time fans with bass heavy club type jams. So far I've listened to it 3 times all the way through without skipping any track. My favorite tracks on here are Raspberries, Sorry, Thom Pettie and Shoes for Running to name a few. The track "Descending" made me think for a second that Andre 3000 was on the track or at least produced it. Great work all in all by an extremely talented artist. I think Big Boi is often overlooked for his lyrical prowess. In my opinion he is just as lyrical as Andre 3000 even though most think otherwise. Highly recommended album!
Review: Daddy Fat Sax staying outside the box. - The vinyl for this album is dope. The album is divided into four sides over two splotchy purple records with a grinning grill on the label. The album is definitely intended to have 4 sides. Big Boi always comes correct with his LPs... The album itself is a definite grower. When I first heard it, some parts would clash. But after letting it sink in, they don't sound so jarring. The album is equal parts swagger & somber. Tight verses as expected. Best track is Ludacris and T.I bringing it on the ATL anthem 'In The A.' Luda even throws in a sneaky diss at T.I.'s days in the 'trap' at the end! 'Descending,' & 'Objectum Sexuality' are two other highlights. I feel a new Outkast album on the horizon... 2014 Hopefully!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Big Boi finding his own voice after Outkast
*by N***U on December 27, 2012*

This album really impressed me. After Sir Lucious Leftfoot (his previous album), I was a little worried. Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors does not disappoint though. Big Boi's ability to present a project that still represents Dungeon Family yet gives HIS unique twist on it as opposed to trying to recapture the magic he had in the group with Andre 3000. On songs like "The A" and "CPU", Big Boi breaks new ground without betraying the ATLien sound he helped to architect. Then on songs such as "Rasberries" and "She Hate Me", he brings his own mellow, love-song attitude to amazing tracks that most of his counterparts are afraid to venture to. Throughout the album, you can be guaranteed music that is both great to ride around to in your caddy or play it at a party and forget about changing the disc until it is over. While is ex-partner is still deciding if he still loves H.E.R. or not, Big Boi is showing that he won't stop making great music until HE decides to. I will be here to enjoy it.
