A: this is not chewable

A: They are about an inch softgels, and that sounds pretty large. . .however, I don't have a problem getting them down since they are softgels.

A: You must mean expiration date . . . which is the time when the freshness of the vitamin is no longer guaranteed..  It should be used before that date.
