Pretty good
This is a great product it does it all , but trying to find the thread hight is a pain it the —- it takes half a dozen button presses to calculate the answer Overall it’s a good product

No other product to compare with
Best thing since the lathe and milling machine were invented.

A useful bit of kit
Bought for use in a hobby metalwork shop, with lathe and milling machine. Hesitated for quite a while before buying, as I wasn't sure how useful it would be. Turns out it is, very- tho' it does have some limitations mainly to do with it's bias towards US imperial measure. It can quickly and easily calculate speeds and feeds for various machining processes- that's very useful in itself, and whilst the time-efficiency aspect isn't important in a small hobby shop it's helpful to keep cutting speeds somewhere near the optimum to get a good finish and prolong tool life. It includes thread data, including the basic pitch /major/minor/tap drill diameters and three-wire measurment data. That in itself would justify the cost for me, tho it does have some major limitations. It covers metric threads which is what I mainly use, but the imperial threads are all US standards- no data for Whitworth form threads which I also use quite often. Also, the max/min major/minor diameters are calculated on V point tools so need some adjustment if using full or partial form threading tool. It has basic calculator and trigonometrical functions (sin/cos/tan and their inverses, square, square root, reciprocal) and several memories. It doesn't have many of the functions found on a standard scientific calculator, eg sinh/cosh/tanh, exponential functions, statistics- but these wouldn't be useful in a worshop setting. It does have some specific right angle triangle functions which are very handy to simplify calculations often required in the workshop, and the memory function can give basic statistics. There are some other functions, such as spacing of bolts around a circle - which I haven't used as I have other ways of doing them. Worth saying though that the keypresses required to invoke the various functions, particularly the memories, aren't always immediatly obvious so it's worth running through a few practise calcs to get the hang of it. It soon becomes clear. As an example of how all this is useful- when cutting a metric external thread on the lathe, call up the basic thread data and store in memories. From those calculate the maximum perpendicular infeed, and adjust for the top slide offset angle using the right triangle functions to give the maximum top slide infeed. And as you get close to the maximum infeed, check the pitch diameter using the 3-wire. No need to enter any numbers directly, and the calculations are simple and easy to follow so less risk of error. Physically, it's a plastic body and the soft-touch keys are a good size and clearly labelled with a good feel. It comes in a soft, shock-absorbing plastic case with a rigid front cover. It seems well made and should survive well in a workshop environement, given reasonable care. Though I have seen some reviews reporting early failure of the keys. Overall I like it a lot and find it useful, so I'd recommend it.

Very useful.
This calculator is very useful to have, it saves time searching out the relevant information. As it’s an American product it’s main focus is imperial measurements, though it can be set to metric through the preferences option. This is good though I had to search through to manual to do that as it doesn’t make it very clear and in the end I figured it out for myself. It took a while to get to grips with entering thread data because it requires you to specify metric measurements even though preferences are set to metric, the manual doesn’t make that clear. Once I got to know what it requires I found it fast and easy to use. It’s a great tool slightly let down by its bias towards imperial measurements and the manual’s lack of metric examples, otherwise great.
