Best alternative hair dye solution to avoid chemical products even if it fools you as no ammonia...
I tried out henna a few weeks ago, and my grey turned to bright red/copper amongst my very dark brown. So was a bit shock. I m 50 and half grey and needing hair dye almost every month. My hair is becoming thinning so I was quite keen to find a non - chamical solution. So I got this indigo out of reading reviews on this website.Tried today and here is what I did: mix 1:3 of henna : indigo and add one egg in the mixture. Paste was well mixed and not runny. Applied layer by layer and left with shower cap for 4 hours (2 hour minimum was recommended but I got carried away with cleaning the house) and wrapped with dry towel. Oh I applied cream along hair line and ears, but it was actually very easy to wash off and the stain doesn't stay on skin. Then the wash, unlike some hair colouring products you buy in supermarket, this combi henna and indigo product doesn't mess the colour of your bathroom, as soon as the water run clear the bathroom is rather surprisingly clean. Now the result: the grey is medium brown (not red) and I feel my hair pleasently natural; you know most chemical hair colours just make a plastic layer on your hair and it certainly make my hair static; and guess what it doesn't have that static problem at all with henna and indigo combination. It was truly an excellent result. One thing you must know is that it is not like the permernent hair colouring product (I use John Freida) the henna/indigo combi doesn't dye your hair the same colour unless your own hair colour is already the same colour; with my half dark brown and half grey, my dark brown stays dark brown and my grey becomes medium brown; so you do notice two different colours after the application. Having said that, given my age and my desire to stay away from the chemicals, which I believe that it facilitated the thinning and greying of my hair due to damage to hair follicles by the chemicals, so this natural product is probably the best I could have as an alternative, actually no, as an excellent replacement!!Hope all ladies of my age would be able to find this wonderful solution. As some say, nothing makes you look old than a thin grey hair.....

Great results!
I've been using henna on my hair for years and my whites use to become orange/reddish colour. I wanted a darker tone so after much research purchased this indigo powder. I mixed equal parts indigo powder paste to my henna paste and applied for about 4 hours. I was extremely pleased with the results as I was hoping for dark brown and not black colour. As you can see from the images its a nice shade of brown. The only hair that remained white were the really small hair strands that just wouldn't stay in place and stick out even though I applied the henna paste to the area. Great results, would definitely recommend.

purely amazing ♡
As I'm getting older so is my hair 😭. I have more white than brown. So imagine how I felt 10 years ago, that I was allergic to hair dye. Yup miserable. So i stayed dying my hair with henna, now although, this leaves your hair in great condition it colours it red, not to bad at the beginning, but now I have more white hair, so it's more ginger all over. Oh how I longed to have dark brown black hair..Recently, however, I did a little research and found out that after you henna your hair in the normal way, you can then dye it with a mixture of indigo and water and leave it in for about 2 hours. The results. 100% success... I was so happy I cried... sorry but true... This stuff is pure and did the job.If anyone is going to buy this to dye their hair, experiment with the length of time that you keep it in. I did it 2.5 hours and I have shoulder length hair, so used roughly about 100 grams of indigo. Now I only have to do my roots.

Well. This powder stained my hair so bad, that even bleach can't get it out!
I bought this hoping to neutralize the red henna, as I wished for a colder tone. However what happened was that it stained my hair, so as the henna faded out of it, my hair appeared green. After months with this color of green, I got sick and tired and went a way that was not to happen - bleach. Even this left my hair (just a lot more visibly) green - like in real green!I "saved" the situation by choosing a fun color to cover it. So I do most definitely not in any way recommend using this powder on your hair, unless you are going for permenant green/blue hair. I will now have to wait for my hair to regrow completely, so I can cut away the remaining color.

Covers greys (with henna), recommend 100%
This product comes in 5 x 100g packs. I recently tried a cheaper product but but it did not dye my hair like this one. My mix is 1 part henna, 1 part amla and 3 parts indigo. This produces a rich dark brown colour which covers grey/silver. In January, I experimented by bleaching and then using purple. It looked fabulous but trying to get back a natural look has been quite a feat as it is difficult to cover over bleach. I have tried a few times but using this product and leaving on overnight has rectified the problem. I will not be using any other indigo in future
