Q: I have ridges on my nails due to hypothyroidism. Could I use this to smooth the ridges out?

I had hyperthyroidism, now no longer have the thyroid! Dunno bout this, but the Leighton Denny trio buffer works a damn treat on MY ridges. Been usin it for over a year now n it's still good. Just needs a little wipe with a damp cloth to clean it. Did my toenails nearly a month ago too, they've never looked so good! The trio buffer is cheaper, and there's no batteries to worry about replacing every other time yer use it like there would be with things like this product.

Q: How often do the pad need replacing?

I bought this product at the end of March and use it every two to three weeks and haven't yet had to rip,ace the heads. I hope this helps.

Q: Will this work for a thick fungal nail? I just want to file it down and start getting it healthy again

This product will not work on a thick nail. Ok for polishing but not enough power for filing. Only use for manicuring.
