You don’t need wifi internet access at your property, but if you have a phone with wifi, the unit makes its own wifi network that your phone can connect to. With that connection, you will be able to use your phone to set the temperature of your out when you are in wifi range of the unit. The only thing you’re missing out on by not having internet access is the ability to connect over the internet to check your temperature and make adjustments, if necessary.
