Perfect to just sit down and play quickly and compact
Love it so far. I wanted something compact to just sit down and quickly play and this is exactly it. Just plug in and play with headphones or speakers. You can also have it really easy or get reallllly technical with it as there's a lot of advanced parameters to change. There's quite a learning curve if you go that route, but if you just wanna sit down and have a good ole jammy shred piece then this is it. Don't expect fractal axe fx tones, but for what it is you can get some really amazing sound for guitar or bass. Presets are just fine and easily adjustable. Very easy to use and setup. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a power switch which seems to be a lot of people's issues. But still it's fine.

great technology; flexible, sounds wonderful... but complicated for old-school guitarists
Virtual IR amps have finally gotten good enough to use in public performance/studio/practice, sound good, and be cheap enough for the gigging musician. That said, if you are an old-school knob-turning guitarist, it'll take you a while to master this technology. I REALLY like the flexibility of the different effects, amp profiles, MIDI/expression-pedal switching; being able to run with an amp that won't 'break your back' carting it around, and won't 'break the bank.' And even be able to run through the PA.Be advised, you'll need to understand mixing, gain-staging, etc to 'capture' your favorite amp profile... but it's 'doable'.I'm impressed.-Therm, of thermionic-sound

The best travel soultion for guitarists, IMO
I am a touring guitarist that has been playing on the road for many years. For a long time I would request that amps would be back lined at the venues that I am playing at however, many times the amps would not meet the standards of the request I had sent ahead of time, or they would often break. I have tried simulation direct options for years and while I like the consistency, I always felt like I was missing the quality of tone from real amps. The tone X pedals are the first time I felt like I had the consistency of an Sims, but was pleasantly surprised by the tone I was getting on a regular basis. I've been using these Pedals in stereo for over a year now and still look forward to using them at every event I play. If you're a guitar player and haven't tried these out yet and are in the same boat that I am, skeptical about Tone models, I definitely recommend giving these a try. Also make sure that you try some great captures from some well-known third-party creators.

Great real Amps Tones at your feet !
I was just going for a simple pedal that I can use live and for personal practice and I was debating whether I should get this or not , since the main purpose and function I believe is to capture Amps sounds and share them not as a pedal to use but I decided to get it and try it I just got this special anniversary white color one ( love the color!) and I love thisThe settings and working around will take you a day maybe but you will get it and once you get it it’s pretty simple ,the presets sound is great and not much tweaking needed , one thing is useful put the main volume to max so you don’t have to adjust that then make sure the model volume is set to lower than 5 ( depending on the characteristics ( clean , drive , high gain ..) and saveTo make sure the volume is level on all the presets. And using it with the software is easy , you can load up your presets to the pedal on librarian section , it already comes with 150 presets but you can switch things around ( easy operation of drag )And yes as all the reviews probably have , it’s noisyBut the noise gate is useful on the presets that are noisy. Overall it’s great .

Budget friendly Kemper
The Tonex is similar to Kemper in that it consists of amp captures instead of amp modeling. It's like having a digital version of any amp you wants but quality depends on the quality of the captures. I played it through a power amp and real cab. I found this way worked best when I played captures that only captured an amp's preamp. I thought it sounded great for the price but man it was a pain to use. The hardware interface seems very outdated and the software is confusing. I watched a few YouTube videos to get the hang of it but still hated the way it was laid out. I also tried to capture my real amps which was difficult and I had mixed success. I ended up selling it after a few months and got something else.

excelente producto y precio.
