Fender Blues Deluxe Diatonic Harmonica, Key of A, 10-Hole with Case

For the money, these are very good harmonicas. They're well-tuned, play loud and bends are easily achievable, which is unusual for budget harmonicas. They're pretty well made but lack any real support at the back of the covers, so don't slip them in your back pocket without the case or you'll end up with a flat harp! I'd definitely recommend these for beginners and casual players; Hohner Special 20s they are not, but at around a third of the cost, they're definitely worth a look.

Love it. Fender never disappoints. I'll definitely buy another one when I explore different keys. The box is annoying as hell to open but apart from that amazing!

A friend recommended Fender as a brand for harmonicas. Thought they only made guitars. Not expensive so didn't have great expectations. However I was really surprised . Easy to play. Easy to bend, reasonable tone. I've now bought two. One in C and one in A.

good quality product

The harmonica is nice when it works, but literally five minutes after opening it, it stopped working completely and had to get it fixed. Not a good first impression. Maybe it’s because the box was damaged and maybe it was dropped, but it was disappointing to say the least. But when it does work, it sounds nice.

I also have a Seydel, also brilliant but much more expensive, but with such solid build quality will last longer so probably worth it in the long run. It's very interesting to play these side by side. In terms of playability the Fender stands up so well. I'm a beginner but that's who these harps are for, right? I'm taking some online lessons that kinda want you to have an A harp so you can play with the jam tracks in E (cross harp). I alread have a "good" harp in C, a Special 20. I also have been playing other instruments for over 30 years so this review is based on first impression but informed by my longer experiience as a musician. Came on time, well packet. Blew some chords and pulled blow and draw on all the holes. All the notes sounded easily and clearly. I tries some bend in my inept beginners way and ther were easy to produce. Sound is on the soft side, mellow as harmonicas go. The tonality is rich but I feel that for some "serious" blues players it may "run out of gas" before it gets as loud as they want. Neither may it cut through other iinstruments as well as the triple the price Hohners and Lee Oskars. Great for beginners given the price and easy playbility. With it's plastic comb, good as a second practice instrument for expericend players who like to let their wooden comb instruments rest between long sessions. Also as in my case, a good intrument to build a quiver of musical keys without dropping $55 dollars every time.
